    First,thank stafstrom .

I gave all the info about xbmc passthrough to RK,and I'm spending some time on reading the source code about this. Yes, you know, big project.

And I want to know whether other 3288 boxes have the issue either ?

Oman, any word on your end concerning the Dolby passthrough problem with XBMC (Kodi)? Just so we know someone is looking for a solution.

    Thanks, Oman

Because I don't own a hdmi capable receiver and I don't have this device, so It's difficult for me to test anything.
You have done a lot for us, we all appreciate every thing you have done.

    Thanks

I understand 110% staftrom. Your mod and the modded Kodi combo provides a workable solution until Rockchip has solved the passthrough problem. Again, your help was and is highly appreciated.

I have created a patched version but I can't guarantee it will work. This version was very different from the ones I've seen before and because I haven't worked with arm assembler in a while there's a chance I messed up.
The only way to know is if someone is prepared to test it.

I have patched the file with my improved version of the hack, that should fix reported sound problems with some VoIP apps caused by my original hack.

Today too. I have tried the youtube add-on today with the modded kodi/libmedia and got a few crashes. IIRC youtube related problems were mentioned here before but not sure if that was with the Youtube app or the Kodi Add-on and if so which Kodi setup is was.

Modded XBMC is fine but SPMC would stutter the audio with the surround sound indicators flashing regardless of the type of surround sound encoding, whether it is passed through or transcoded. Even tried a re-installation of SPMC - same results.

Same thing happened, audio echo and crashing. I cleared the data then uninstalled SPMC and rebooted. Downloaded SPMC from play store, added videos from my Synology NAS. Everything is working perfectly now. I can change to DTS, no crash. I can can use the on screen fast forward arrow, even with 3 clicks, for faster forwarding, still did not crash. I can say that on my end, SPMC is perfect.

    Thanks again

Edit: after stopping and restarting SPMC the echo is back. I start with Dolby which has an echo then switch to DTS that does not have the echo, then back to Dolby and no echo. Strange.

On My End it appears to work..I am able to skip forward now. Can use pass through only had one file (AC3) that was garbled sound but as much as I have been goofing around with SPMC settings could have been me. You tube does not crash SPMC. I will test on the patched XBMC tommorow.
