With a 1080p capable kernel, this switches to true 1920x1080
Must be rooted
In Terminal, type
su
wm size 1080x1920
If you wish to switch dpi as well, you can do so:wm density 240 //for 1080p or 160 for 720p
----------------------------------------------
The "am" command works similarly on older versions of Android, with the benefit of not requiring root
su
am display-size 1080x1920
----------------------------------------------
Also
video.use.overlay=1 //change to 0 in system/build.prop file and
lcd density=240 //for 1080p or 160 for 720p in build prop file
Hi Johnoo,
I'm inrerested in this board revision too.
This manufacturer always produces the best board modifications(B_351...).
I think the more proper way is to use overlay trick, but not "wm size".
Does overlay trick work for you?
Wasser Kitkat or any other T-R42 firmware bricks it.
I think your device's new 2.16 Loader version causes these bricks with wasser's Kitkat.
If your skilful anough to split wasser KK 1.0.4 or 1.0.3 FW to separete images, then you will be able to flash his ROM as separate images but with your 2.16 Loader(just leave Loader row unmarked in flashtool).
I'm not shure that it will boot, but I hope flashing process won't be failed.
I have the same box and board. Running stock firmware I can get video out on XBMC and Showbox. It is 720p.
My wife prefers Netflix and YouTube, but the Netflix video is glitchy, and I get no video from YouTube.
Any ideas if there is another firmware to load that will fix this? I've managed to flash firmware from Wasser, but the box powers up to a black screen and then powers off. I've had to revert back to stock.
