TWRP is included as an option in the RileyROM folder in the ROM kit. While, yes, you can do backups with TWRP, you shouldn't rely on a TWRP backup when changing firmware versions due to compatibility issues. You can do a data partition backup...but you might not be able to restore it.

In my experience, Titanium provides the most reliable backup...but you must be already rooted to use it.

      Re: Pipo P1 RileyROM 1.7

rrileypm - I was wondering if you have any trouble playing some games on the P1. I am trying to play Disney's Mickey's Castle of Illusion and the only thing that shows up on the screen when you start a new game are the soft controls of the game. The background and characters don't appear on the screen. Its a cool game that I would like to he able to play but the P1 doesn't seem to be able to play it. I'm not sure of what info I can give to nail down the issue. Are you able to test the game on you P1 device? I'd like to know if it is just me. Also, how would I communicate this back to Pipo? I know their were other games that had issues as well. I think they are mostly 3D type games. I think Wind Up Knight 2 has issues. Not sure where to go on this. Any assist would be appreciated. Bty, great ROM.

          Hi rrileypm
Thank you for your great work in this rom

I have a problem with the AndroidTool.exe when I double click on it, I have a massage that sad "Loading config file failed!" and the AndroidTool.exe is in Chinese language

You can tell me what to do to make it work?

          Thank you

I'm checking to see what's wrong with the config file in the 3G version. Download the wifi version and use the config.cfg file from it...it should work.

Everything seems to be OK on both ROM's on my machine.

Try unpacking the zip file again...or re-download. The config.cfg file must have been corrupted.

                  I install your room

Can you explain more how to install the TWRP recovery? I'm sorry I don't understand your explanations perfectly

Use the same procedure as flashing the whole ROM...except.....

                    1. Uncheck all of the boxes to the left of each line in the flash tool...except the recovery line.

                    2. To the right of the recovery line is a browse box. Click it and browse to the RileyROM folder and select the TWRP Recovery file.

                    3. With the tablet connected to USB and turned on, click the switch button to boot to flash mode.

                    4. Click Flash ROM.

                    5. When it's flashed (it will be pretty quick), your tablet will boot to system.

                    6. Reboot to Recovery by using the Reboot app in the app drawer.

                      Thank you!

What about the volume? Is very low, you have how I can boost it to be more high?

Have you tested this on rk3288? When I tried it didn't seem to have a compatible driver.

Yes, I have it running on my P1. There are two different versions of the app. Try the other version. You have to reboot a few times for it to work right.

Do you have plans to release OTA updates for your ROMs?
