    Init.d/Busybox support
Auto Install feature on first boot
English Default Language (All usual languages supported)

      Dear Riley,
I flashed. The whole process shown 100% OK. But after reboot, the tablet halt at "Pipo" welcome screen.

      What can I do?

        Dear Riley,

I pinned the "upgrade firmware" with turn on button and flash back to v1.2.

Hope Riley can give me some comments how to upgrade to rom 1.4.

Let me check a couple of things. I really didn't do anything different on this ROM.

For troubleshooting purposes, can someone please try flashing the ROM with the stock parameter file? It's the one with 1gb in the file name, or no gb designation (I can't remember without booting up my kitchen PC...which I haven't done yet this morning). It could be that I messed up the parameter calculations (but I don't think so).

The only other thing that may cause a problem is that I edited framework.jar in the system/framework folder to turn on Multi-User. Sometimes that causes the boot loop. That will be my next thing to look at. I may try running that whole ROM again, skipping that part to see if it solves the problem.

Every once in a while we have an all-nighter at the fire station. With it being Halloween, we were literally up all night on fires and medical emergencies. I'm afraid I won't be of much use helping until I get a nap. So, let me catch up on a couple of hours of sleep, and I will drag out my laptop and take another look at this ROM. The P4 ROM I did last night is doing the same thing....so I will have to fix both ROMs...but my eyes are blurry at the moment for lack of sleep.

after clicking lowerformat, it is OK. When click Run, it prompts "RK3288Loader_uboot is not existed, stop running!

                  Thank you.

The defaults in the flash tool should be correct. If they aren't, you can easily use the browse button to the right of the boot loader line and select the correct file in the RileyROM folder.

I've uploaded v1.4.1 which hopefully fixes the boot loop problem. It's in the first post above.

Flashed successfully. I will test and report if any problem found.

                      Thank you very much.

The problem I found so far:
                        1. The welcome screen upside down.
                        2. APN setting cannot save (it does not appear after you have set up), telephone function also failed.

Is this ROM for the 3G version?

Can anyone give me his honest opinion on this tablet?
I've already been burned by a Pipo tablet in the past, and I am very hesitant about buying another Pipo tablet.

The firmware didn't specify whether it was for wifi or 3G this time.

Since I assumed it was wifi only, I included all of the tweaks I use to disable 3G to save battery.

See post #1 shortly for v1.4.2 which fixes the updside down boot animation and hopefully restoring 3G capability.

Thank you, Randy. Just flashed and seems everything OK. I will monitor the battery drain issue these days.
