    Custom firmware help s805 MXQ

    Hi,

I'm looking for someone to either give advice or build a custom ROM for me.

What I'm looking to do is remove the default launchers from a stock rom and add in my own XBMC launcher. I can add in my XBMC and remove the default launchers but when I boot the box, I get the initial XBMC first run screen and then nothing else. I've previously had this working on an older MX box so I know my XBMC launcher works.

Is there anyone who can help, I'm willing to pay if someone can build or let me know what I'm doing wrong.

This is the box I have, 1gb version

Starting to go bald pulling my hair out over this!

Try to find another xbmc build or modify the one that works.

I've had the one I've used on the MXQ working on other boxes so it should be ok.

Is there a specific change I need to do to make it compatible with the MXQ firmware?

        No idea about that.

I've tried using a couple of other xbmc builds (Oman, SBMC etc) and they all have the same problem.

          Any more ideas?

Hi, any update on this? I'm just looking for roms now for this, as it's really slow and it's killing me.

I'm going to update to this, http://chinagadgetsreviews.blogspot....at-442_81.html

or the one mentioned in the post above (http://mbox.co.za/forum/viewtopic.php?f=64&t=150) because they are the only two roms i can find anywhere. - EDIT - I tried this one first. Getting "Incorrect Footer" error.

                        I also found 108k4 Firmware - http://androidpc.es/blog/2014/11/08/...link-mxq-s805/

c'mon dude, it's just 3 days since i said "we are working on it", we do this for fun on our (very little and valuable) free time. So please, be nice and don't push.

Flash 108k4 in the meantime, it's the latest firmware for this box.
