Finless ROM - bugs

Thank you Bob for the new ROM. I just received my box quite a couple of days ago. Without hesitation I immediately flashed with your ROM. In fact I didnt even play the box with the original ROM

So far so good except I have this persistent problems -
1. The box will sometimes stop responding after a reboot. It gets into the GUI & just stop there. I have to remove & plug in the power cable to the box again for a couple of times before it will get back to normal
2. On many occasion the box will revert back to 720p after a reboot/power off
3. If i reboot the box with the included Reboot app - the box will power off & on with a blank black screen

My box is on a simple setup as following -
1. HDMI to 55" display
2. Ethernet enabled. Wifi disabled
3. USB 3 connected to a 3.5 inches 3TB external HD
4. 1 USB 2 slot inserted with a tronsmart air mouse receiver
5. No frills CPU - Performance/Noop

Btw I notice that the occurrence of the above appears to go away if i disconnected the External drive from the box before reboot or power off. Eg. disconnect the HD, reboot works
I have tried to manually unmount the drive before reboot/power off the box however the problem persist. Changing the external drive connection from USB 3 slot to USB 2 slot of the box did not help either

Tests for new rom

I founds 2 problems with video in stock rom. Could anyone do the following tests in the new rom to check if the same problems are still there.
Test1
1) Install FLIPP on a tablet
2) Start Flipp
3) Choose wibi
4) Choose a free movie
5) Create a new account with tivihub
6) Choose screen Tronsmart
7) The video will play sluggishly after few minutes with the stock rom.

Test2
1) Upload a mp4 to disk.yandex.com
2) View that video
3) Very jerky with the stock rom

Do you know what channel your router is using?
I had my router set to 136 (5680mhz), normally now a days no problem but the draco uses old standards(?) and wont see anything above 48 (5240mhz)

Calendar not syncing - some apps not compatible.

Hi, I not sure if it's this ROM or the device in general but I can install Google calendar but it won't sync with my account. When I look at my Google account to see what apps are syncing calendar isn't even listed. I was just wondering if others are having the same problem.

I also have a few apps that won't install with them being listed as "Not compatible" in the market. I can side load most but I was wondering if this could be because of the missing GPS. I've had other custom ROM's on other TV devices that these programs had no problems running so there must be some type of hack.

I still use stock rom, and there's no sync with agenda and many other Google features!

I've bought the telos Version and want to prepare everything for flash, will this rom work also for the telos? Also can i use the twr recovery draco meta in the telos?

Next ROM I will make sure the sync stuff works. Bottom line they are missing the sync adapters.

voice typing

Does not work (very bad working) voice typing. The indicator shows that the sound is, but it is not recognized. Checked on the MX-5P and KP-810-16V (sorry for my english)

Also, does anyone know what the status is on the Linux firmware? I'm leaning towards using Linux instead of Android, since I cannot find any CouchPotato server for Android anywhere. (Any hints would be appreciated!)

Working on a new ROM now based on the Fantasy ROM.

It's a long road! Trust me!

I got working:
- Live wallpapers
- Google Calendar and sync
- Google Backup
- Better Google APP Play Store compatibility..... WAY BETTER.
- Google framework fixed and permissions which enables a lot of APPs to do proper services and not crash.
- Increased DRR memory clock when playing videos... TRUST this works great! But testing will show.

Still working on:
- Location services e.g. google maps, etc.
- Contacts APP and sync.... WHAT A BITCH
- A freaking USB connected ADB! DAMN IT! Eric from Geekbuying... Tell TRONSMART I NEED THIS NOW! It's too hard to develop on without it! IT CAN BE ENABLED I KNOW IT CAN...... I tried to do it, but I am missing information on the hardware and GPIO ports to make it happen! Plenty of info on A10, A13, A20 but this new hardware is not the same (which makes sense). HELP!


And more I am finding and working on... My worry is another ROM will be released while I am trying to get this one done with adding the LIST of stuff that needs to be fixed. But we shall see if I get one out before a new ROM

It's all for fun but can be frustrating as hell sometimes

Maybe you should get OTA set up, and start releasing as you work out the kinks? :-)

I'd definitely install it and report back whenever you'd update the image! :-)
