I bought yesterday on geekbuying it cost around 160$ and you have even gifts. I was wondering maybe this is offtopic, if it is I apologize i'm new one here. I want to stream tv on my android box so what is the best option for that, i was thinking to buy some satallite reciever usb doungle and connect with android box if it is possible ? Or use xbmc and make it , only problem with xbmc is that it use internet bandwith and i need something like satalite reciever but want to use it with x8-h plus.

Do you have any suggestions ?

buy the satallite receiver might not work, because you lack the correct linux drivers, till now the best solution should be the XBMC ADDS-ON.

Does the ''plus'' mean the increase in the price?

I vowed not to buy anymore Tronsmart devices and now its the same with Minix. Fed up with the device being partially unstable and all its firmware problems and their abandoning manuf support after getting users to try all their beta fixes.

As Eric wrote, all Amlogic S802 device manufacturer learned during the last month (also Amlogic) and because the S812 is a S802 + H.265(hw) + GB-Ethernet I think (of cause couldn't be sure) the state of the fw will be the same as at s802 at the moment...
I would take a 'Tronsmart Draco AW80 Meta' because of the potential/capability (of cause with all the problems at the beginning)...

The keyword for the missing kernel-driver/-modules is TVHeadEnd... You can also realize it at a PC as backend and using XBMC at the box as frontend.
I think if Eric talk about XBMC ADDS-ON he means IPTV streaming over the internet...

Why don't to buy Tronsmart? At S802 they use the same as beelink. I don't know about e.g. rk3188 devices by Tronsmart...

Minix hw is really nice, at fw they are dependent on the SDK's by the chip-manufactures like every other design-house/factory... BUT I don't like their attitudes (but that could happen if you communicate how nice/good/well/big you are, but can't deliver an equal result because of the 'bad' output of the chip-manufactures, shit happens (in this case Amlogic, Rockchip had learned during the last year (but also have some problems at the RK3288 at the moment BUT video-output seems to be well)))

                  I read about Wi-Fi 802.11ac at http://www.minix.com.hk//downfile/20...3553436621.pdf so this means AP3665 ?

Minix... I like the products.... But I am fed up with being a beta tester with boxes. Again a follow up model...

Which aren't still there what you want to expect from a mediaplayer. Not any Android box...

No HD surround.. And slow XBMC scrolling...

The attitude of Minix?? It's bad... When you are to critical, posts are removed from the forum...

BTW... On the product you see dolby digital +.... In the official press release.... No word about it... SO BEWARE!!!

Dolby Digital Plus is going to be another useless audio codec. It is going to be another needle in a haystack situation for finding content that has DD+. Although DD+ is an approved audio codec for Blu-ray, it is only used for BonusView and BD-Live features on Blu-ray. The primary track will be Dolby TrueHD on Blu-rays. DD+ is used mainly in online streaming services (Netflix, Vudu, HBO Go etc.). None of those are available in HD on X8 variants. At this time, DD+ logo is being used purely for marketing. I also have to point out that the DD+ logo on the box is not correct. It is a retired DD+ logo (used during 2006-2008).

Thanks Wek05.... For the info, I already sort of knew what it was... No HD Audio.

Makes me even more happy with my arriving Chromebox Openelec.

So, Dolby Digital Plus is another TRUE? Just as 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM, 2Ghz CPU and a fully functioning airmouse A2 on X8-H? Do not mention malli 450 octa core, which has only 6 cores according to wikipedia.

If you buy this... You get a box with beta firmware and some specs isn't the thing you really get... Let's say the half truth.

It is not a lie. The box indeed will have support for Dolby Digital Plus, you just will not find any content (video files) that can utilize the codec. There is also hardly any information whether this box will have 1) multichannel LPCM audio output or 2) 7.1 channel passthrough. X8-H is limited to 5.1 channel passthrough and stereo PCM.
