    TWRP cs918s

    This is long overdue.

I have compile TWRP for the cs918s. I have tested this lightly and from by test's all functions are working as expected, i have used it on the cs918s 5MP 16GB rom device, the a31s one.

Please report back any thing that you find wrong, add a log and what was the error don't simply said that this or that doesn't work.

    Install method
    - Download the TWRP_CS918S_5MP.zip file and place it on internal SD, reboot to recovery and flash the zip. Reboot to system and next reboot to recovery will be to TWRP.

    v.2.7.1

      Working

Hey Abdul_pt thanks for the TWRP.
It worked fine for me, i backed up to sd card, and flashed an update through it.

I saw the following while it is loading:
      E:Find_File: Error opening
      '/sys/class/backlight'
      '/sys/class/leds/Lcd_backlight'

      Something i need to do?
      Thanks again

        Thanks.
Tv box's don't have lcd, so nothing is wrong.

          help needed

Hi pal, tried it on the newer version CS918s, installed fine but when I try to do a backup it only lets me back-up to internal space and it shows me to have 150mb space.

            Normal.
Newer CS918s ships with KitKat, and so with SElinux enable. This image uses a 4.2 kernel without SElinux support, not to mention that there should be different partition(s) in KK.

You are running KK right ?

I get 1080p on my monitor, but it looks like it can't handle it. I get a lot of blinking pixels and with wrong colors.

Did you managed to get any source code ?

this firmware will install on your box, but no wifi, Bluetooth or camera works, 1080p60 does and the network works

Try this image. Flash it from stock recovery or TWRP.
If something is wrong provide recovery.log. From advance menu copy log to SD or adb pull tmp/recovery.log or adb pull cache/recovery/last.log
Also the output of 'ls -l -R' from '/dev/block'

Didn't quite understand your point. So the 4.2.2 FW is better than the 4.4.2 image, even if it were fully working ?
