    Creating Compatibility Zips - AOKP

Does anyone know how to create compatibility zips?

I'd like to use the AOKP Allwinner ICS or any other ICS builds that William posted and I can get AOKP to boot but I have to use a mouse with it since there's no touchscreen support.

I'm ASSuming that it would be possible to take the Polaroid or Onda ICS rom files pretty easily but I'm a bit lost as to where to start.

Is it as simple as copying the .ko files or is there some extra build.prop work and things? Thanks in advance!

    Hey drywall,
Did you try to use the old cm zips?

Sent from my Polaroid 701c tablet running Cm10

EDIT: Which AOKP are you using?

All of those zips were for Jelly Bean CM10. I'm looking for ICS zips.

This is the ICS AOKP I'm trying:

I actually already tried to look at the CM10 compatibility zips to see if I could figure out how to modify for other versions (Ex. CM9, AOKP) but unfortunately I'm so new in the process my knowledge isn't up to snuff...

          According to William's thread http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...-compatibility
He said the compat files should work with CM9/AOKP, so thats why I asked

I will try then I guess. I'm also trying some zips from here:

so far "LY-F1 and clones need lyf1_compatibility_1.2.x.zip compatibility zip" works best but rotation is opposite and the back button doesn't work but those may be simple fixes...

Really? I'm surprised at that. I tried CM9, AOKP, Kangbook, Cyanbook with the cm10 compatibility zip and none of them worked...

The hard buttons can be edited in the system/usr/keylayout/sun4i-keyboard.kl
Change menu button to 114 and the back button to 115.

Thats what I did for my 701C.
As far as rotation goes, I haven't figured that out yet.

How about the touch screen? I think (if I remember correctly) when trying cyanbook I had no touch screen (or maybe that was AOKP)...

Cyanbook the touch screen works fine for me, but the rotation doesn't work..
The older compat files probably worked for cm9, but I don't think william still has them up...

Now I'm a novice with this stuff, I'm think you could make your own compat files, especially if it boots without any compat files. As I understand it you can add the folders system/lib/ and system/usr files from a good ICS flash. the only problem I have is figuring out the updater-script, which is what tells CWM what to do with the zip..

I remember you posting that but thanks for making it so I didn't have to dig . I successfully edited that file in the compatibility zip and re-zipped it and the buttons work now. Just have to work on rotation.

Touch works with the zip I was talking about.

I tried the good old .1a zip from william and it doesn't work.

If/when you guys get everything working, let me know and I can probably put it in a live suite image so you can flash it in one shot instead of having to install/modify things...

Bow to me bitches copied the sensors.exdroid.so file from the .1a zip and rotation is fixed.

(not fully tested but rotation, audio, wifi, & touch seem to work)
