OTA;
For this release there will be NO OTA, sorry guys..
There are some changes wich can not be updated through OTA
It is technicaly imposible to do.
We decided that it was best to do it now then in a later state as we have to do it eventualy.

Flashable Image:
This firmware will be provided as flashable firmware.
You NEED to flash it with the usb flashtool provided in the download link.

The future of CE;
This will probably last "Community edition" and next releases will become "Official MINIX" releases. This meens it will have the MINIX logo's etc but still our team will be working on it.
After this release and the feedback from it we will also start porting to the X7mini, X5 and X5mini but this will take some time before they are ready. Stay tuned

Available Updates:
X7 CE v2.1.0 - root update
X7 CE v2.1.0 - unroot update

To install the available updates (this is not for the Firmware!) rename the downloaded file to update.zip and place at the internal flash drive root or USB stick root, android will find the update and request you to install.

No problems encountered after a few hours of testing. The sound-related issues present in v2.0.0 appear to be all gone. I also like the clean layout of the new sound devices manager.

Ok guys we noticed the bluetooth was not working so we fixed it.
I edited the first post and added the "fixed rom" link.
For users allready using this rom a "bluetooth fix" is provided inder "available updates" at post #1

No multi user is not working as we need to add a lockscreen to the device to switch users..
We need to be able to navigate with a cursor ( minix IR remote ) on a lockscreen as we do need to make sure it will work for everyone and can not force people to use a mouse.
Till now we did not found a propper sollution for this yet.
Any ideas are welcome though

Has anyone been able to get 4od and 5 on demand working on this rom? Ibe been using wasser's from the beginning and been very happy but this would swing it for me if the patch was effective. Cheers Hardware guy and the team for their continued hard work!

isn't the minix IR remote you speak of an Air Mouse?
in other words how the lock screen functions with an AirMouse would be the same as regular Mouse? mayb i'm confused. I currently am using the 2.0 version and i also use VPN's. I have a PIN set up for credential sotrage. (looking forward to upgrading and avoiding this problem) but I have no problems entering my PIN using the regular mouse.

No the minix default ir remote is not an airmouse.

It does recognice.. Reboot is not needed.. Just copy the update.zip to internal flash or copy it to an usb stick and put it in your x7.. Then just wait till the popup comes to install the update.
