Any idea to root it? Is there an app which can dot the job easily?

If you know a ROM to optimize this tablet (fixing Chrome Browser issue like in the Cube Talk 9, or increase the dedicated memory for app etc) , i am interested in too!

    Greetings from France.

    Greetings to you!

This is a new chipset, different from the 9X. Hopefully the issue with Chrome has been rectified. Please let us know in your report.

    Thanks .....Adieu!

Since my 9X was lost in the mail, I am looking for a new tab. The T9 looks very promising.

I see what they are trying to do with the plastic dimpled back (making it slip resistant) but that does seem like a downgrade in build strength.

          Hopefully not.

Getting closer to either this tab (depending on reports), a 9X repeat ...or the new iFive Air w the 3288.
          decisions?!

BamaPanda, if I were in you I would go for the T9 there are the reasons:

            - 64bit support (useful for lollipop)
            - 4G LTE support
            - bigger battery
            - cube reliability and ROM stability
            - build quality of cube (i don't know how good is iFive build quality)
            - Cube SoC should drain less battery (newer ARM technology)
            - GPS presence

In my opinion there is no comparison, I think iFive air is a good product though, but, on paper, I think Cube T9 is much better.

I tend to agree. The iFive Air looks to be nice ...but the 64 bit and hopefully better camera on the back - PLUS I see some discussion about Mediatek really being a GOOD to EXCELLENT chipset ...ALL this makes a strong case for the T9.

So I am waiting a on a report from OGU ...
              (please rate 1-10)
              Chrome browser. Smooth?
              Build quality?
              Wi-fi?
              Screen resolution/Image quality?
              ...and
Screen? Is it glass like the 9X? yes or no

              Thanks ...

                BamaPanda,
                you forgot few important points:

                battery life
                weight
                stability

NOTE: I still consider MT8392 of my cube talk 9x a very good Chipset, mediatek is a reliable producer of SoC and I suppose that the chipset installed on Cube T9 will be very good too.
I think that T9 should grant 10% of performance boost on CPU part (cortex A7 -> Cortex A53) and more than 50% on GPU part (mali 450 -> mal T760).

                  Right you are.
If it is similar to the 9X ...it will be, and have ...
Somewhat heavier - glass screen & larger battery
                  Stable as a rock
                  Excellent battery life.

                    Not quite on topic but...

...I have pre-ordered an elephone p6000. 64 bit 4g dual sim phone. Just over £100. Update to lollipop is promised (though the sceptic in me has doubts). Will start a thread with a review when it turns up.

Hi, I am getting the T9 next week as a Christmas gift. I've had a look at it but can't comment about extended use just yet. It weighs 615 grams. The build quality looks very sturdy well put together. the only negative is it has the grainy screen I heard a lot about when looking at 9X reviews. It's not terrible, but I noticed it right out of the box and I'm going to have to try and sort it out as it will frustrate me when I use it. Gonna try and remove the film between the glass and the screen next week.

I had read of the grainy screens on later builds of the 9X, but I was thinking it was just the screen protector that came on the tab ...that could be removed.

Your description seems to indicate something on the screen itself?? I do look forward to your report, as a grainy screen might be something to avoid.

I saw a report about Cube changing the screen between early and later models of the 9X. Looks like they may have carried the grainy screen issue over to the T9.

                        Too bad!

It's definitely the same issue as documented in this thread:

Even with the screen protector removed you can still see the grain. Hopefully removing the film beneath the glass will sort it out.

So you intend to remove the glass? You are much braver than me.

Yeah I'm going to try and remove the glass, hopefully it'll be worth it.

So this must be the type display Cube is using today for it's newer thin tabs ...

I wonder if iPad Air has any issues with grainy screens?

B-man ...I wish you well. Pretty sure the glass screen needs a heat gun, as it is secured with adhesive.

The question might be ...why is the film there at all? Lets hope removal does not change touch response.
