I repaired many, they are ABSOLUTELY rubbish!

All of them have P+P (cheap plastic) display, cube uses G+G (glass), Pipo internally is kept together by tape, not the case of cube. Pipo antennas are cheap, bad built and bad soldered on the mainboard...To sum up, I'm impressed that Pipo tablets can boot up!!!!

Pipo M6pro is one of the worst tablet I've used...(the new P1 is on same level...)

As an administrator of Pipo Italian community I do not recommend to buy pipo to anyone.
You now have the proof in comparison with your new cube!
I have to agree. Even though I am typing on an M8 Pro, I now know Cube's quality.

My M8 has lasted through a bunch of stuff, from being dropped, rained on and even survived a custom ROM at the hands of a newbie. But I did not realize how good a tablet could be till I bought the 9X (rest in peace).

Doubly excited bout getting hold of the new T9.

No never, I can tell the diffrence in performance and screen already tho.

While I have your attention, my PIPO keeps rebooting/crashing just after boot, I installed 4.4.4 from here I think, is it a rom issue, is there any roms I can install over 4.4.4 to sort the issue out , thanks

Just a little bit off topic:
you can't imagine how many people insulted me when I tried to make technical comparison between cube and pipo on freaktab pipo thread, just to inform interested buyers to pay attention befory buying pipo devices...

I just wanted to help them to avoid making this kind of error doing a simple comparison!

Now there are many better alternatives to pipo devices:

Cube at the moment is one of the best chinese brand with high quality devices (with fantastic biuld quality and very good ROM stability as far as I've seen and personally tested), iFive and Teclast are building good quality produtcts too (I don't know about stability though), Ramos is also improving a lot with their latest devices.

Pipo still use old displays (P+P), internally their tablets are a mess of bad soldered antennas and tape stuck everywhere, ROMs are often unstable, they continuosly issues new ROMS without any visible improvements, some devices overheat (as latest P1), service support is totally useless.
Pipo prices are higher than competitors in some cases (P1 is one of them!)
This kind of company cannot survive with these bad products and services!

This thread is about the T9, of course, but I might add this.

Years back pretty much every tab from China was slow and lower quality in many areas. I recall having to make sure of choosing a capacitive screen, as there were many tabs being sold that required screen pressure, rather than touch.

Cube might have been in that same camp, of course ...but it is amazing that my perception back then was that Cube was actually a lesser brand than the Teclast & Onda I was using at the time.

Then I bought Pipo, and it seemed to be much better. I had no idea that Cube could be so good, still having that impression that Cube was low tier. And it was all perception.

I am so glad I discovered Cube, bought that 1st 9X. And there are other brands like iFive that look to be making a quality tablet.

Exciting times for those of us wanting a good quality tab from China, and new stuff coming ...like the i7 competitor that should give Surface a real run for its money!

                Happy New Year!

                  Couldnt agree more

The Pipo m9 pro when I got it approx 14 months ago, was the best Tablet out there IMHO - I didnt want an Apple, and I had used a Samsung Galxy Tablet 10" and been left with a very bitter taste

The pipo has been great over the time I used it

But I wanted an upgrade & The pipo is stuck in a boot loop/rest mode that I cant seem to get out of no matter what rom I flash, so I assume its a h/w issue

The cube, so far, has shown me just how far the star of PIPO has fallen, I tend to keep for 12/18 months and then we'll see what else is out there, I would have liked it in a 10" but apart from that and the lack of custom roms, im more than happy.

I bought a pipo a little bit more than 1 year ago, in that time there weren't good competitors, so I thought that pipo was a good choice, on June 2014 I finally (happily) managed to sell it.
And I bought my current cube talk 9x (the best chinese tablet I've ever seen)
I've had the possibility to see current pipo tablets and they are built exactly as the models they produced one year ago (with the same problems and building errors! They didn't learn!!!), but now the other competitors are improved so much, and cannot be compared! Pipo is far behind many of current competitors, and first place in product quality at the moment is Cube, in my opinion.

That's why I can now recommend cube as good choice and in particular talk 9x and T9 as reliable, stable and very well built devices.
The lack of custom rom for T9 is only a matter of time, this device is so new that only few developers have it in their hands!

                      Actually, many call a 9.7" a 10. I imagine you are speaking to a 10.1" widescreen (16x9).

Found a oout a while back that 9.7" in 4x3 actually has more screen space than a 10.1 in 16x9". Makes me understand better why Apple's iPad has stuck with the 4x3 format all these years.

                          Check here.

It is about the lowest I have seen.

You might check back to page 5 (#98) of this thread for the reference to the deal at geekbuying.com. Not sure if it is still on, but worth a look.

                          I wish you well.

I dont know about ordering from Aliexpress.

I keep hearing so many horror stories from people that bought stuff from that website that Im not comfortable with it.

Actually there are horror stories about all of them if you look.

Pretty sure Giouncino made mention he has ordered from them with good results. He also said they actually hold the funds in escrow till the product arrives and the customer is satisfied. You might ask him the details.

I checked. The code at geekbuying.com has expired.

The black 9X with 32 gB of space is still a good buy at Merimobiles, and they take Paypal.

                              The white one is 209.00.

I have a question about the Gps.
Does it require a Sim card to function properly?
