3rd attempt FAIL....
I have a feeling that if this ROM is made like AllWinner, the formatting of NAND will be very different. RK Recovery may not work for this. And the kernel maybe expecting NANDA, NANDB, NANDC, etc so even our parameter file may not be right!
I am beginning to think someone is screwing with me! Seriously. This seems like a AllWinner type ROM and not a rockchip. Even thoug the files in /system are rockchip files and boot.img has rockchip stuff in it, the ROM format is just not right. Again I have NEVER seen a rockchip ROM like this before in 100's of RK ROMs I have done in the last year!!!!!
Why do I get the feeling someone is screwing with us? This feels off to me....
Anyway, system is system right? So I am going to try a few things and see whats up.

Progress
The MK802-3 kernel works with MK808 JB system.img!
So the kernel is good and wifi works!
I am making progress guys..... stay tuned....

Well as I said in 100's of rockchip ROMs I have made (to be exact I have made 176 RK ROMs to date) I have never seen this format. This format is typical of a recovery system for AllWinner or AMlogic.
BUT it makes sense that a recovery like AllWinner could be used on Rockchip. I see no reason why not. It just has never been seen before EVER on rockchip! Well until now
But I think it is OK. I am making progress! System.img is now the problem but I think I know whats up
To make it work, you have to think like AllWinner ROM.... I think I may get this working soon.
I wish I could make the recovery binary though... this is the key. Since it is in DIFF format (like Allwinner) I cant see how to convert it yet. But never fear.... This is a challange and I dont give up easily

It should work. We know kernel and boot are good. I do not want to use mk808 system.img. I WANT THIS SYSTEM..... I think I know why though but it's going to take some scripting work.

Whats wrong with the mk808 system.img? As long we have Android 4.1, Sync and WLAN everything should be fine for the moment?!Comment

Beats me, I'm learning on the fly here lol. You and 2dark are waaaaay ahead of me on the scripting.
It works, and rather well it seems. Shouldnt take too much to perfect it
That said, I'd not recommend anybody go buggering up their ug802 like this unless you don't mind the risk of hosing it completely...I'm bored, it's raining outside, and I could care less if smoke billows out of my ug802 lol it's just too damn cheap in cost to care.Comment
