A JB based factory ROM ?
It's only my reasoning, but I think only after 1-2 month of saling UG007 they will release JB for UG802.

I dont think it will be JB no reason to give us JB from factory, if they will do this the only difference with incoming UG007 will be bluetooth module and extra 4gb of NAND flash, it's not a big difference, but JB in UG007 will make it more interesting for new customers.

Just to be sure: You got the MK802 III Rom with Android 4.1 running on our UG802 by Using the boot.img from Finless 1.5 Build? If yes: could you create a update.img and upload it, so that we can flash it on our device or write a short tutorial how to create the update.img (i cant use the micro usb on my device because its broken)Last edited by hayabusa; 03 November 2012, 17:52. If you want to play yourself with a TEST ROM. Do this.
1) Download the MK802-3 ROM from the first post in this thread.
2) Download my MK808 Finless 1.5a ROM
3) Unzip my MK808 ROM.
4) Delete boot.img and kernel.img from the MK808 FinlessROM folder
5) Unzip the MK802-3 ROM
6) Copy the boot.img from the MK802-3 ROM and put it in the MK808 FinlessROM folder
Do not worry about having no kernel.img as the kernel is in boot.img
7) Run my flash tool and uncheck kernel.img in the list.
8) Flash the ROM. It works I have done it.

The problem is that I cant use the flash tool, because my micro usb port is broken. So I only can flash if I have a update.img I can put on the sd card:/Comment

The MK802-3 ROM does not have a full dump like a RK ROM's backup.img. That is we are missing the updater scripts and what not. The MK808 scripts might work but lets get a working ROM first before we see if it is possible to make a update.img.

Whats wrong with the current state (Mix of Finless 1.5 and mk802 III)? What does not work ? I thought that wifi and sync work well, what else do we need

Nothing wrong really, but it's a work in progress.
When it's ready for primetime you'll see an sdcard update.

SUCCESS!!!!!
Success folks! I now have the MK802-3 system booting and working.
It was all permissions for files and folders!
Using the update script from the original MK802-3 ROM (this is very much like a ALLWinner script for installing from ZIP) I converted the script SET_PERM commands to linux chown and cmod commands so when I built the new system.img it set all the permossions.
Special thanks to Petrus and Supersport900 for helping me with the conversion! We have a good team of Dev's here on FreakTab!

I never had to do all that before! 
But it's all done! Stay tuned for a WORKING MK802-3 ROM on the ug802!
