      OK next problem. While wifi drivers work and I can connect to my router, it fails to obtain a IP Address. So I must work on that. The MK808 system worked so I think I need the supplicant and maybe wlan.ko from mk808.

          Looking good!
          I've also got an UG802 JB firmware built. LOL I didn't see this thread today....the exact same issues I was having.

          Now the real question I have is....
          CWM doesn't seem to work properly for the iMito MX1 and the MK802-3.
          It can't mount the internal sd or external sd.
          I'm guessing that recovery just needs to be rebuilt with newer drivers.
          Any chance you'll get around to that?

            Yes the recovery needs to be rebuilt and I will get to that once I have my ROM working fully.

            So you got the MK802-3 system working too?

            I am still having some problems. Turns out I am missing symbolic links from the updater script too. I know this because I cannot get root access along with a few other things.

                  It's not in the MK808 system.img you are using. You have to waity till I get the MK802-3 system.img working. It's in there.

                      OK symlink problem fixed but I still cannot get SU and Superuser to give me root!

                      I must still have some permissions problem....

                        I've got the MK802-3 system working. I had to tar /system after I updated my mk808 hybrid rom with the update.zip.
                        I'll have that firmware uploaded in the morning since I don't have enough time to upload it now.

                          OK I will bite.... how did you get the update.zip to update your ug802? Does the MK808 rom support this or something?

                          This would be way easier than what I am doing by hand!

                            I unpacked the rooted mk808 beta 2 rom, replaced the boot.img with the one from the mk802-3.
                            I then modified the mk808 system.img with the wifi modules from the mk802-3.
                            Packed it up into an update.img.
                            Flashed it using batch tools.
                            Then placed the mk802-3 update.zip in the /sdcard directory and it asked me to update.
                            A couple of minutes later it booted into mk802-3 system.

                                OK this kind of makes sense. I noticed the MK808 does not tell you to update in update.img is on sdcard. So the MK808 does support update.zip. Very strange. Again I have never seen a RK ROM support update.zip format EVER. So another first even for the MK808.

                                Thanks. I see no reason to make a patched MK808 though if it will update using update.zip.

                                However I think I will keep plodding along with what I am doing. As one day this well help me PORT AllWinner ROMs etc to RK. So I need to learn this.
