I don't know, you should see at least the dvbapi user trying to ask to oscam to decode the stuff. I've not used oscam on the Play because I use tvheadend with newcamd (I have only my local subscription served by a oscam server running on an old STB, a dreambox clone).

I didn't remove the DVB client. Not sure what happened to it unfortunately my test line has now expired. I'll give it another go if I find a free test as I paid £3 for this one for 48 hours.

I did actually plan on returning the device but Wetek want 20 euro for shipping and given that the euro is weak I would probably only get £50 back so for now I've decided to keep it.

Sorry I didn't understand what you mean by the above

At first run the app will ask for root (UNIX administrator) rights.

I would do a factory reset and reinstall because in your configuration there was no dvbapi user so it would have never worked because there was no man in the middle between the live TV app and oscam...

When I ran ostools tools a pop up did appear requesting "super" access and I did grant it. Is this what your referring to?

But i doubt Wetek customize dvb drivers to be DVBapi compatible...

Hi, does someone know how to update OSCam? I created a new binary with Simplebuild but when replacing the old one with the newly created one, in the Webif the version of the old binary is mentioned so the old binary is still present. It looks like a backup copy of the binary installed by the OSTool somehow replaces the new binary automatically but I cannot find it. In which folder(s) one has to put the new binary?

Try to unpack the apk and replace it there using the same name.
