there's a new firmware for the MK802 III:

Fixed list:
1. rooted.
2. Added mobile phone remote function,even can play somatic games.
(manual detail pls refer to manual)
3. Added wifi hotspot.(manual detail pls refer to manual)
4. solved some HUB,USB LAN adapter compatibility problems.

not sure but this may help to improve the 1.7 ROM

I hope the mobile phone remote option could be added.

hi folks, i flashed this rom and temporarily unrooted it using an app, rebooted the ug802 and it's stuck on the loading screen any ideas on how i get it working again?

Wifi was still and issue til i found used my USB 2.1amp charger for an Ipod I had (got it for under $5 on ****)

Installed this Rom and XBMC release candidate and both are stable as a rock. This device totally rocks now. I also got some of the free TV episodes from Google Play and they streamed without stutter and in HD.

Thinking of downloading the Rikomagic MK802 Rom to extract and get their wifi remote control and test that out. Anyone use it? Does it install on my phone and it just recognizes the Mini PC? That is what the liliputing article sounds like but will have to find out. If it works I wont need Bluetooth dongle or Bluetooth hub for wireless mouse/keyboard and that would free up the USB port for a USB Hard-drive.

Today I have received 4 RIkomagics 802 IIIS, and i know the issues in mk 802 II with 1080p output, not really 1080, 720 "reescalated".

I dont know if Rikomagic III have this issue, but I read the features of this rom, and probably i will update, only 1 question Bluetooth of S model is working properly?

I CAN'T CONFIGURE 2 JOYPADS

I'm trying to connect 2 joypads to a hub connected to the ug802 usb port. Both joypads are detected but just like one pad. I mean, both have same controls. I can control player one with one joypad or another but I cannot control 2 players. Has anybody the same problem?

urgent help needed please

I followed the instructions to the T and now have a problem.
my pc did not see my 808 so I held the reset button and then plugged the usb lead in and everything went as per the instructions.

after reboot my 808 now wont boot its stuck at the android screen
and still no RKandroid rock usb

have I bricked my new mk808 ?

I've tried clicking the reset button again but nothing

I can get my pc to see the mk808 again by pressing the reset button then inserting the usb lead as per pic but the rom flash tool dosnt see it.

help

borrowed the wifes sony laptop did the pin hole again and bingo up and running

I got it!

When have the error when click in the button FLASH MODE, use the app: RKBathTool:

And click in the button SWTICH, now proceed with the instructions of the ROM.

The link on mediafire is dead. Is there an mirror to this tool?
