Don't get me wrong here just anything that seems to run on the TV boxes seems to need lean back launcher and not something I want or need. I've paid for my launcher and like them. And every device that I have has lollipop but I can still use my launcher if I want too so iam nor sold on lollipop.
Or you could just compile it for your device using the "Molly" (ADT-1) Android L preview AOSP sources.

The picture is one running on a RK3288 tablet.
Firefly already released Lollipop firmware for their tablet.
Some manufacturers already got Lollipop but are doing bug fixes before they release Lollipop firmware to customers.
Eg. Nagrace will will release Lollipop firmware mid June if there are no serious bug fixes left, Openhour will release Lollipop end of June.
Here is also Lollipop firmware for RK3288 tablets - http://crewrktablets.arctablet.com/?p=5207
And here is Firefly Prime Lollipop SDK that was released 3 days ago. - https://bitbucket.org/T-Firefly/firenow-lollipopLast edited by mo123; 06 June 2015, 13:24.

Moe123 you can understand some people's dis belief as it was released in October 2014 and even most devices still have poor kitkat firmware so I understand thier concerns. Top that with no movement on linux excel from rockchip only development is with Devs not manufactures that's why I am so happy about the nvidia move it's wake up time for these China box manufactures start properly supporting your devices. Or lose sales 😆Many devices now mk902ii/Shield/Mk68 /Ugoos/neox5/minix5 (yes they still work lol) mk80 no it doesnt work lol.

The price is almost twice that of Chinese RK3288 TV boxes and you have to buy a $49 remote if you don't want to use a gamepad separately, also doesn't include shipping.
It is also only available in the US, Canada and Peurto Rico. If people in other countries manage to import it later, they can add another $50-$70 for shipping, taxes and reseller fees.
It also still has lots of problems just like the Chinese boxes eg.
No DTS (DTS MA, DTS:X) and Dolby (TrueHD, Atmos) passthrough AND Decode Support
No VC-1 in hardware, Mpeg 2 in hardware
No 23.976 support with switching
No Native .mkv container support
This also has to get fixed in new firmware updates and there will be extra license costs to play those codecs.
RK3368 devices are also around the corner and will be selling for below $100.
But if you live in North America and can spend a little extra to get the latest hardware, then the Nvidia Shield TV Box is fantastic.

Moe123 don't forget 3288 and a80 when released where 150-160 they have been out for close to a year for 3288 and 6 months and prices have dropped. Paying 100 for poorly built and poorly supported chip set makes no Sence if it wasn't for Devs like you Bob and the rest these boxes would be in the trash can.
Nvidia is also working on releases and 2 been sent out since launch 😆 not bad for a week outMany devices now mk902ii/Shield/Mk68 /Ugoos/neox5/minix5 (yes they still work lol) mk80 no it doesnt work lol.

Some progress is being made here if interested in "Hacking" a version http://crewrktablets.arctablet.com/?p=5297. Pipo P9 is as close to my Firefly specs that I have seen. This development has the HMDI out problem. Have been going though the sdk released for FirePrime, line per line on source during the evenings. On vacation and Firefly at home. So far everything seems to be there in the source needed for a build, but still looking.
