    Pipo M9 Max

I found a partial DMESG for an M9Max and also have some coaching from FreakTab developer DNKN.

The hardware appears to be almost identical to an M6 Pro

i just test it in Riley Rom 2.6.4. It doesn't boot. Just turn on backlight for 3 seconds and then turn off backlight for 3 seconds and so on.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll upload a second test later this evening.

Here is a DMESG I created for a Pipo M9 Max which has 1 nand chip.

                dmesg-001.txt

Hope this might be of help

                  @d33

can you pass on what you've learnt from dnkn? I know he had a custom kernel for M9 max, so there must be a working source/config somewhere.

I own M9 max so I can can build and test things, but I'm new here and so far I couldn't find a reliable starting point... I'm on stock 4.2.2 and for now I don't want to upgrade the rom, just need to tweak the kernel to make it usable...
Searching for rk3188 on github spits out a lot of mess, and most of the kernels I've found are for some tv sticks. Haven't found any pipo_defconfig anywhere...

I want to add some features to the kernel that I need:
                  - f2fs
                  - my cpufreq governor
                  - sysfs interface for oc/uv for anything that can be controlled

And of course some basic stuff to init.rc, like init.d/boot.d scripts handling.

Can you point me to where dnkn left it (I've seen his github, but that source has only initial commit, so I assume that his other work is somewhere else...)

I have a m9max with one nandchip too, if i can support this work with anything, write a pm to me.
                    Im using KitKat from dnkn.

Is there still any development going on for the pipo M9 max?

Maybe I am mistaken, but this thread did not seem to have brought any results yet, or did I misunderstand something?

It would be nice to see at least the buggy loader fixed, so that we can have full performance on the device.

I now have acquired a faulty M9 Max to, hopefully, fix and use as a test bed.

I just tried the latest Version on my single nand M9 Max running the 4.4.2 Rom from dnkn and i have the same problem as kandilak with version 1.0.

If you need some kind of log just tell me what kind and how i could pull it from the device and i will provide it
