Can flash your own kernel back if you want, to use the IR Remote of R28.

          The ones from HPH?

Yes it works, I flashed it on my friends R28 Meta, no problem at all.

If you read this you will see that all it ever was is mo's ROM packed with Tronsmart kernel so that the remote works.

Just flash his ROM and when you are flashing select the Tronsmart kernel instead.

I'm so busy and not much time for this. Don't even have the device. Sorry.

              Cheers,

I would recommend Mo's Nagrace 1.06 ROM with the OHC 1.04 OC kernel and resource images.

                It's brilliant.

Does the stock remote work with that kernal? Also are the video flickers gone? Can you post a link to the files you used or a description on how you did it. Thanks.

                    Original ROM

                    OHC OC here

Just flash the ROM as normal, then reboot into bootloader and flash the resource and OC kernel.

I don't know if the remote works because I haven't used one for many months now (prefer wireless mouse/keyboard combo).

As for video playback, it's as close to perfect as I have yet seen.

I never had issues with video flickering in the first place though.

Have you tested the A/V output jack with that setup? Mo may have fixed this in 1.6, not sure, haven't tried it yet, but I never got to enjoy his 1.5 because my r89 is currently in use on a tv with regular A/V inputs (no HDMI) and unfortunately the scaling was peculiar with the 1.5 kernel.

Possibly the OHC kernel will fix the issue if Mo hasn't already taken care if it. Then I could finally upgrade permanently from 1.3 (plus some personalization and updates) :-)

I do believe Mo's ROMs may be the best choice around for this platform for sure!

                      Cheers,
