I have to say! I freakin love this box!

Once again, I have to thank Gearbest for sending me this. I did not ask them. They contacted me about it and I told them I was a Android guy and not sure this Windows box would float my boat.

    Well it actually has!

First this thing is fast for a Windows box! I can use this for many many things.
It's almost like a HARDWARE VM box to mess with windows!
What's cool about it is how fast you can recover or reinstall..... I would never do to my real PC what I have been doing to this box!

Anyway.... Just have to say this more than met any expectations I had... It's just a great box so far.

NO, I actually have not messed with XBMC on it at all... Been learning all tis EUFI, windows install stuff. But trust I have a feeling, if you like KODI/XBMC on your home PC, this will be right there with it.

Too bad I actually hate Windows 8 though.... But I am getting use to it now. I still prefer the power of Windows 7 from a "capable" user point of view.

Again thanks Anna from Gearbest on sending me this! You do ROCK!

If someone can install Android on it and run benchmark to show how fast. Then it would be nice. I just only saw Android benchmark (Antutu) on Intel tablet (Z3735f) like Teclast it looks very good as RK3288 especially on 3d score.

I have confirmed with pipo, android is not supported on the x7.

as far as i know, for the z3735f base tablet or mini pc, you should need different BIOS file for android or windows. for example, if you want to flash android OS, you must flash the correct bios first, and the same, if you want to flash windows, you need to flash correct bios.

pipo has no plan to release the android FW for the x7, so we just can play the windows system

Why would anybody really want Android?

Here you have a pretty much universally known OS that just pretty much works out of the box.

No custom ROM's for people to have to produce because the manufacturers can't produce an out of the box experience.

Switch on and go with what people already know and love.

Kodi will also likely have far fewer issues than with Android.

This kind of device could spell the end for Android unless Google open it up more and make it easier to modify.

As I said in a different post this box is just too much work for some people, my family would be a nightmare if I bought them all one of these, the same as they are at the moment with their laptops. Android boxes run Kodi great for them and that's all they use plus they have the remote.

Also you can get android boxes for peanuts these days for kodi. I have had loads of these delivered (http://www.banggood.com/CS918-Intell...-p-928544.html) and they were only £29 before Christmas and came with the UK adapter.

For people who like to tinker tho like you and me this box looks ideal

Here are some Pictures of the Inside under the Metal Shield.

Also I will let the Shield away and add a Cpu coler with a small fan.

Great. I want to add fan and heatsink but I have no idea to do. Add fan&heatsink and drill some holes in box

No need for Hole in the Box.
                            The Airflow is enough inside.
Open the Box unmount the both PCB. Then you see the Metal Shield on the CPU Core.
Now take a little Flat Screw Driver and Open the Holding Claws. When you open all then you can remove the Metal Shield. Now you can add a Heat SINK.

Simple way after you remove the RF shield is to get some Thermal Epoxy like Arctic Silver and just glue on a heat sink. That is better than nothing

However that CPU does not have a cover! You looking right at the silicon. BE VERY CAREFUL HERE!
In fact gluing or using heat sink stuff on this may damage it forever.
I have never worked with a Intel CPU without a cover on it protecting the silicon!
