MXQ S85 from Gear best

Looking for up to date firmware for this box or Open Elec if there is a build.

Box came with 108k4 installed so hoping there might be a more up to date firmware somewhere.

There was a 109k firmware posted somewhere here, i am sure you can find it with google. But it was reported that MK808B Plus roms also work on the MXQ but without ethernet, so you if you use wifi you can just use the finless rom or the openelec build for MK808B Plus.

Appreciate the reply, found the Open Elex build and likely to try that but lack of Ethernet is a concern.

Ethernet was broken in some old MXQ openelec buils but it may have been fixed in the new ones. If not, a cheap USB Ethernet adapter should work.

Installed the 109k ROM and seems OK. Been streaming 720p and 1080p files from the popular add ons over WiFi.
