    Open regedit
    Go to HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\
Set the value "CsEnabled" from 1 to 0

I'm testing this right now and will let you know if it's working.

I tested this on my Pipo X7 and I got a strange behavior.
Before this tweak when I disconnected the HDMI cable or turned off the TV, the RJ45 (and all USB devices) were shut down. When I plugged the cable back I had a "limited connectivity".
Now when I plug it back I still have a loss of my internet connection but when I plug it back I get my connection back too.
I need to find a way to get everything running when I shut down my TV.

After the tweak, you need to check the Power settings of the various devices. You will see that under the Properties of e.g. the Ethernet device, there is now a Power Management Tab where previously there was none. You can then uncheck the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" option.

What you can also now do is go into Power Settings and modify a whole range of power settings. You can even use the High Performance power plan if you want.

My PiPO X7 now runs like a normal Desktop machine. I've measured the power usage and found it to be between 7 and 10 Watts. Even after running for days, the case is only slightly warm to the touch.

EDIT: I'm raging, it's not solved in fact, I just had some luck once..
I had the same behavior while downloading at high speed once.
I did not succeed in doing it twice.
          .
Thank you darfnix, it's working correctly now and I don't loose my wired connection anymore when I switch off the TV.

          To sum it:
1- I unticked all the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" in the Power Management Tab of my devices. It was already available before the regedit thing.
I also tried to change things in the Power Settings but got few options.
2- I changed the Connected Standby mode to 0 via regedit.
3- Back to Power Settings and modifying everything to stay awake.

Even my external HDD is not spinning all the time, it was making some horrible stuttering in the system. The disk was stoping and spinning back constantly. I used a program named Keepalive HDD and it was working but with this tweak I can uninstall the program because the problem is also gone

EDIT 2: The Hard dive issue is solved this way, but not the connectivity

Oh gosh, It's just too weird...
Here's the behavior I got (with or without the settings I modified):

            Simple setup:
Connected to internet, using Team Viewer to check if I loose the connection and downloading a file via torrent.
I shutdown the TV, I immediately lose my Team Viewer session on remote computer (impossible to connect back). Torrent stopped downloading.
I turn On TV and after a quick check the connexion is back to normal.

VPN setup with a virtual adapter (even more strange)
Again: Internet OK, Team Viewer, torrent downloading.
TV Off, loosing Team Viewer session (impossible to connect back), Torrent stopped.
When I turn on the TV, the VPN is up but the DNS of the main network adapter are empty so I have no more internet.

So I'm still disconnected when I switch Off the TV.
            Must investigate... Again ^^

              Yes, you're right, unfortunately.
I had been testing by switching off the monitor via its power button, which just puts the monitor into a standby mode. The PiPO stayed up. But if I turn it off at the mains switch, then I get exactly the same behaviour as you describe.

I'm looking into this right now....

Few other threads on this as well. I had the same problem. Changed my power adaptor to a better quality one and it fixed the problem.

Can you confirm that your PiPO X7 stays up indefinitely (and the LAN stays connected) when you unplug the HDMI cable from the running PiPO?

If so, you would have solved the problem and I would be most interested to learn how you achieved this.

Note: I'm using a brand new 12V 5 Amp power supply and power drain is never greater than around 10 Watts. I have no reason to suspect power supply problems because the machine is running my IP router software perfectly for days on end, as long as the monitor is on or in standby mode. When I unplug the HDMI cable from the PiPO (or turn the monitor off at the power point), the LAN lights go out after a few seconds and the machine is no longer accessible via the LAN.

Yes I confirm it on my side...
This is really crazy as the power supply I used to test this is also a super crappy "made in China one".
It output 12 V at 1.5A for 18W max and it's even a US plug (I'm in France) with a 1980's adapter over it.
Now I can power off my TV and still connected to Team Viewer, network, VPN etc.
I will find another good one because this one scares the s**t out of me.
Problem solved, simply do not use the power supply that come with the Pipo X7.
Thanks useless you were... useful ^^

EDIT: After a reboot it didn't work anymore but it's the best guess for me as it worked for the first time few minutes ago.
I'll try to find a good 12V 3A PSU tomorrow.

I don't actually need ethernet (using wifi) but I was getting very annoyed with the network adapter (in device manager) continuously going on and off when HDMI not plugged (You can see this in device manager or even network settings where the adapter disappears and reappears every few seconds).

I plugged a new power supply and problem went away. I can't tell you whether connectivity remains ON or not as I use wifi (too far from my router) but I can tell you that the adaptor remains on.

                      All the best.

Hmm, this is a bit of a mystery!

I too am not using the supplied power supply (which is rated 12V 2.4A and has the PiPO brand on it), even though I had no reason to suspect it. I purchased a local good-quality 12V 5A supply simply because I didn't want to use the very primitive adapter plug that came with the original one.

So I'm wondering what the difference is between your system and mine.

Could the Team Viewer software be somehow keeping the system up even when the HDMI cable is unplugged?

Can you confirm that the system stays up when Team Viewer is not running and the HDMI cable is removed?

@useless: I tested with my "new" old 12V/1.5A no name PSU and I got the same blinking ethernet device issue as you while on Wifi.
It's probably because of the 1.5A delivering not enough power.
But the network don't get fully disconnected like before, I only loss connexion every 10 seconds and it come back.

@darfnix: I dont think that Team Viewer is sending some keep alive and I tested a keep alive program that did not worked. The only test that worked was torrenting at 4OOkB/s... Once ha ha ha
I did not succeed in doing it a second time.
So it looks like a power management issue.

After two reboots I even get non working network now.
It's worst than ever and I'm off for tonight before I break the box with my bare hands .
It really looks like the Pipo X7 is really very picky on the current you're sending to it to make the components working normally.

See you on the next episode...

                            Update...
This morning I plugged the HDMI cable into a low cost HDMI switch:
                            PIPOX7 > HDMI cable > HDMI Switch > HDMI Cable > TV
And it's working better, I can shut down the TV, Unplug the HDMI cable behind the TV with not connection loss.
I'm pretty sure the signal delivered is worst than when it's directly connected to the TV as the switch is really a low budget one and my provider TV box won't work with it.
Perhaps it got some sort of filtering inside it.
It has to be something with the current delivered/not delivered when unplugged by the HDMI cable then.
I'll live with it for now as I will let the switch plugged.
If someone with knowledge in current over HDMI can have a look into this that would be great.
I'm still waiting for my HDMI to VGA converter hoping it will solve this issue.

                              It's still a strange situation.

It looks like the ethernet port is powered through the HDMI of the tv output.

But than again.....when the Pipo is busy with some heavy tasks the Ethernet port is still active when plugging out the HDMI.

You can try whe unzipping a large file for instance.

Teamviewer doesn't resolve the problem for me..... unzipping files does...haha

In my case Team viewer was meant to monitor activity with screen off, it didn't helped on any way the connection itself.
I think the issue got more to do with some kind of interferences sent by the HDMI cable to the all system than "powering" it.
When I plug it via my HDMI switch (not powered) I can close or unplug the HDMI cable without a problem.
