    Hi slighly off topic.

we have two mk 809iii's but after seeing the photos at top am wondering if we have an 809iii and an 809iv as the newer 809 we have looks the same as the photos here on the inside but out case is the same as the 809iii we have.Where as the older one has the antenna attached via a small wire...

can anyone confirm what the actual board will say to indicate 809iii this is a little confusing and could be the reason why so many are having issues if their 809iii is actually an 809iv

You need to download some softwares to write the new firmware on your ROM ... Google for "Upgrade firmware on android device" ... I tried like 10 different firmwares before i got it working

Hi there fellow members! I hope i'm not hijacking this thread, but i believe my stick is an MK809 iv, so i guess this is the correct thread to post in. Being a newbie, i'm not sure about anything! Thus, i'm attaching pics of my board, just in case anyone can suggest something. The machine is not detected by my Windows 8.1 machine. I try different USB cables, different ports, nothing. The stick has stopped booting completely since last month. No signal on the HDMI tv. I read about shorting a couple of pins on the NAND chip, which is the SKhynix H27UCG8T2ETR BC. But i don't really know what the proper procedure is. I have used the driver assistant v 4.44 to install the drivers, but the stick is still not detected. So my guess is that it is bricked. I'd appreciate a full step procedure, as i'm new to this. Eg, if i short pins, should i keep them shorted? Do i have to power the stick while shorting? Which are the correct pins, etc..
Thanks in advance for all the help!

            Hi salaxi54 ,

first you can try this here : (no Drivers installed no Device detected)

            http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-...-pro-8-1-64bit

if higher Win7 there are sometimes Problems with installing RKDrivers .

If it still is not working than u can try shorting pins and of course u must power the Stick .

            good luck and report

gefattern : Thanks for your reply! Unfortunately, nothing in the links has solved the problem.. I've tried everything, but the stick has not yet been detected by the pc. I found out that the appropriate pins on the SKhynix chip are 8 and 9, but nothing changes also. Used the drivers in the link, replaced the 2 files form system32/drivers, ran Btach tool 1.7, then tried 1.8 but still nothing.
Is it possible there's any rockchip driver that i'm not aware of? My 8.1 Windows is 64 bit by the way..

                Hello salaxi54

Did you press the reset Button on the Device or just plug in the Cable?

                  Hi salaxi54 ,

i used big G and searched for XT-F809 V11 and found this thread :

                  https://w3bsit3-dns.com/forum/index....974&st=320

stupid is i can not see what comes behind V11 , 2......???? , are you sure

it is a RK3188 CPU ??? What Wifi Chip is used ???

                  For flashing , can u use a Win7 PC for it ???

and what about Neomode's Question ???

                  nice Day

neomode : Yes, i tried pressing the reset button, i also tried pressing the reset button and short the pins at the same time, i did all possible combinations. Nothing changes...
@gefattern: The print says: XT-F809-V11/20150701. I mentioned i "believe" it's an 809 V11 model, based on what i see. The wifi chip is an RTL8723BE. The new link you mentioned does not open for me. I can try to find some friends' win 7 pc and compare things. I'll report asap. Thanks!

                      Hi salaxi54 ,

strange it really does not work anymore , hours before well .But if i get this Page over G search it works well , search for "XT-F809-V11" and

you must find it . I think it is the translated Webpage of the 4PDA Thread a Russian Page like Freaktab ???!!!

Does the Stick have any Lights if you get it to Power . PowerLED/BootLED ???

Steps for flashing are , if Drivers installed and Flashtool has loaded the Rom :

Press Reset/Recovery button / connect Device / connect Power ( if you have to short pins this comes first )(i do it like that)

                      good luck

@ gefattern : Thanks, it appears the link sometimes opens, sometimes not. Anyway, i had small progress after installing-uninstalling various drivers. Finally Batch Tool could connect with the stick. Blue box 1 ok, i tried Restore, and get an error after a few seconds: Layer 1-3 Download Boot Start, Layer 1-3 Download Boot Fail
Yes there is a red LED which is always on.

                          Hi salaxi54 ,

are you sure you took the right Rom ??? best is the StockRom to get it back to Life .

Please try AndroidTool 2.35 (secondTab for whole .img Files flashing) , if you not

                          sure ask .

                          greetings
