fanni2 bordiart kostaman As 6.95.2.2 I analysed factory firmware posted on this forum and I have another kernel version to test. Instructions as before:

• rename kernel.img on your SD card to something else, like kernel.img.bak
• download the new kernel and put on on SD card
• put SD card back to the box and test!

If it does not work, simply delete the newly downloaded kernel and rename the old one back to kernel.img.

Nothing changed, device doesn't boot.

Has anyone flash OE on this board yet? Seller trying to sell me that box but not sure if it will work with OE.

All black OTT MXQ 6.95.2.2 "power off" works strange.
When I press "Shutdown", after the pause around 5 seconds my skin reloads
I press "Shutdown" second time and sometimes skin reloads second time and sometimes MXQ shuts down.
Just now first and second "shutdown" just reload skin after the pause and only third time shots MXQ.

Isn't that 2GB of RAM? Can you somehow get me a backup of kernel? Flashify may be the easiest way to make it.

Here's fun fact: I disassembled "cyx-..." firmware that you posted and device tree defines that there's only 512MB RAM in your box... Can you please run terminal emulator in Android and show me result of free command?

Just one doubt. With this new CEC driver, is the command fw_setenv cecconfig still working? It is described in the release page, and I used this command (not sure if was cecb or cec0) in some previous version.

Partially, yes. With the new driver this command can be used to enable/disable CEC wakeup (on boxes that support it) and can change CEC setting for Android. If you want to turn CEC on/off for OE, you can do this in Kodi Settings menu.

thanks for the new version but i have big problem with this new one on mxq, my tv remote have no more acces to menu buton with blue tast. i have before this version with my tv remote cec acces to menu?
, in earlier version in my tv remote , i have context menu in blue tast, now with this version jarvis my blue buton get another function, i precise that in the original remote MXQ all is ok.
how can i remap this button with keymap, its realy difficult, that is tv remote.

You quoted my post from 3 months ago, related to much earlier releases. The new mapping is default for OpenELEC. If this bothers you that much, please downgrade to 6.95.1.1.

burimek I noticed the colour keys bug after some testing and I figured out that OpenELEC introduced mappings for that keys that override our previous mappings. I fixed this for the next release, aiming for this week.

In the meantime I will be able to test only for MK808B+ as my second MXQ has broken down and I am waiting for a replacement. No luck with these boxes.

@bodiart Back to not being able to select 50Hz - I noticed that one of my boxes does the same. It looks like it has a hardware flaw that prevents some HDMI signals from passing through - in result there are CEC issues and I'm not able to select anything but 60Hz, just like you! I have a possible workaround in mind, I'll test it when I have some free time.

Truly hope that you can fix that, that issue makes me upset as I use to watch iptv, which is 50fps. I am glad that the issue is reproduced. Thanks in advance.

nigelg I was able to reproduce RSS ticker not working and it was fixed in 6.95.2.1. Please try toggling RSS visibility a few times.

thanks for the new version of openelec jarvis, but have the colors button by tv remote not works, blue button is not menu, shame can you fix it, the cec work like a charm

burimek It's not a bug, it's a feature. Actually now CEC has default OE button assignement. I think this can be changed somehow, I'm not sure how.

Have just tried sd boot of oe 6.95.2.2 with your new kernel.img but it hangs at mxq splash screen

I have tried build 6.95.2.2, and CEC is still not good. Sometimes it happens command buffering, sometimes it is not recognized by TV. After suspend, cec stopped working. I tried the test kernel, and cec didnt work at all.

Don't worry about the lights. There is a lot written in previous posts about the sequence of the LED. It is the way the GPIO pins are wired and the Bootloader Blah Blah Blah.
It is not a problem.
If you do a re boot the Blue light will be on when the box is on.

If you turn it off it will stay Blue. Then turn it ON and it will go Red. Same as mine and a lot of others.

Can you please write a footer on your Box / Board / OpenELEC Version including whether you are on NAND or SD Version(Android boot to SD)

MXQ 6.95.2.1 on my all black OTT works very good. Power down works again. Just little bug - blue led lights when MXQ suspend (power off) and don't when MXQ works. SMB little slower or it just me.

Even with the settings of kostaman, cec didnt work fine for me.
