You could use any hosting site with big enough storage, dropbox, google drive, box.com. Or if you don't want to leave it up, then wetransfer is okay too. Thanks again for taking the time and helping!

I tried with the password www.hindotech.com and it worked. Figured this forum or something might have parsed that address and posted it wrong. It is www dot hindotech dot com

I found the problem, I was cutting and pasting the password. For whatever reason that didn't work. I typed it out and it worked. ANYWHO... try this rom see if it boots your 919

And to answer the question, it looks like they are using the chipset for the 809III inside what looks like a CX919 and calling it a CX919. That's evident from the factory rom being 100% compatible with both units.

Thank you, Parnelli87, I'm downloading it now.
I can't try it until saturday, but I will let you know how it went.

I also stumbled upon a thread that mentioned specifically the V5_2 firmware. I contacted the OP, Sawbones999 and he sent me this link:

Посмотреть и скачать с Яндекс Диска

He also gave advice: "If you're still having problems with bootloops after flashing, then you will have to pot it into mask mode and erase the NAND before flashing. I had to (several times actually)."

I'll try both this weekend and keep this thread posted.

Nevermind. Just tried your ROM and I am back up and running. My wifi is really bad though (as before). I am womdering if it is soldered to wrong point comparing it to the pictures you posted. I might try soldering it to the location shown in one of your pictures.

                      Thanks for the help.

How did you flash the single image to your device? The flashing tool I have wants individual files like boot.img metadata.img and so on. With the one img file how do you load it?

Got it working for me too, up and running after two weeks..yay!

To flashi it, use RK Batch tool 1.7 - just search for it. This is for single-file images
Thank you all for your help!

I don't know how much room is inside one of these. Maybe find a low profile heatsink?

Thanks. Will try that. My major problem is the WIFI signal strength. I am wondering if the wire is soldered at the wrong point. Is there anyone who might be willing to take a picture of the board and post it here? Would love to compare. Mine is attached here for reference.
