Won't boot properly - tried to update now goes straight to recovery

    Hello everyone,

I'm having trouble trying to update the firmware for my Beelink player. I tried to update using the android tool but no matter what driver I used the PC did not recognize my device. I followed the "Beelink R89/UBOX ROM/Tools release" thread instructions with no luck (Windows 7 PC).

So silly me I tried to use Flashify to update the ROM, now the player just goes straight to the stock recovery - I can't get the system to load at all???

How do I flash the stock ROM to go back to normal??

Any help would be much appreciated!

Maybe you flashed the wrong part to the wrong partition...
Because of the driver, did you used the latest from post #2 at "Beelink R89/UBOX ROM/Tools release"?
Had you also have a look at http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...-box-read-this!!!! ?

Yes, I used the latest files from the 2nd post in "Beelink R89/UBOX ROM/Tools release". I have also used the updated drivers from the other thread that you posted. Computer says "USB device not recognized". What do I do now? Any advice on how to go back to original?

When you are using the RK Driver Assistant, are you uninstalling the previous driver prior to installing the new driver? Disconnect your R89 from the PC before doing either.
Of course the obvious question, have you tried a different cable or a diff. USB port on your PC?
        Good luck.

Just tried again making sure I uninstalled all drivers including going to regedit and removing anything Rockchip related. Different USB cable, different USB port. No luck

Surely there must be another way to flash this thing? Or is my device now dead?

Try disabling any kind of antivirus just in case it is getting in the way, do you have another pc you can try?? also as a last resort you could try installing a virtual machine with windows installed and using that.

The installation of Vista I used to flash my UT3, required restart after USB driver installation, before the PC recognized the box. First time in a while Vista required restart after adding new USB device/driver. Maybe it was just me, or the fact that I'm the last guy on planet Earth using Vista.
