To avoid fixing things that weren't broken, I've created separate ROMs for the boot and system partitions, and only made minimal changes to /system.
- ps10-system.zip - https://docs.google.com/folder/d/0B3...d5bnZNUXM/edit - This is the stock version with the addition of PlayStore, GMail, and RootChecker. It should be fully rooted; installing the SuperUser app will enhance your system's security but its not functionality.
- ps10-boot.zip - https://docs.google.com/folder/d/0B3...d5bnZNUXM/edit - This is the stock version with no mods - you probably don't need it. Be aware that GoogleDocs will try to be "helpful" and show you its contents. To download it, select File->Download from the menu at the top of the page (not from your browser's menu).
rlmiller: download both files and transfer them to an SDCard. Once you're in Recovery, use the factory-reset option, then install just the system zip. It will identify what it's doing (e.g. "formatting nandd") and will take a while when it gets to "copying files to /system". After you reboot, expect it to sit on the boot animation for several minutes. If successful, the first thing you'll see is a setup wizard for GMail. If nothing happens after 5 or more minutes, go back into Recovery, do another factory reset, then install the boot zip and retry. I really doubt your boot partition is corrupt, but who knows?
Good luck!
