I didnt know any cm roms were being made

Well I've got this running but I'm still curious, it seems that cyanogenmod development for 9p has stopped in the last few months. Perhaps I missed it but I can't find a cm ROM that will work. Granted I've got ICS stock ROM running fairly smoothly you just can't beat cyanogenmod in my opinion

I have adb up and working on my next9p

I generated a bug report. Looks like everything that doesn't require root works. what can I do to help this project?

I want more than just root. this thing is starving for memory. ultimately I would like to learn enough to build ubuntu desktop for the nextbook

edit: i have Superuser.apk installed, but not su yet

edit: after getting Superuser.apk installed, Bin4ry worked as it should have. Now on to assembling Ubuntu on top of this kernal.

problems w\ battery better

I have solved the battery not showing up as charged. By running the fully charged battery down in sleep mode. The system and battery agreed on the charge (1%). Then leaving nextbook on. While charging after about 60 hours i can run on battery for about half an hour. I will continue to exercise the battery.
P.S. my device manager on my laptop installed the next9 as android composite device, ALL on it's own.
Windows 7 must have installed an update as the driver is the same windows name but ADB devices showed the nextbook.

I was able to successfully pull update.img from my next9p. I used instructions from here: http://www.arctablet.com/blog/featur...ova-g3-models/

with a minor change. when it says to

chmod 755 /sdcard/rkdump

you can't chmod anything in /sdcard so I moved the file to /data:

 # busybox mv /sdcard/rkdump /data/rkdump
 # chmod 755 /data/rkdump

My goals are 2 fold. I want to rebuild this rom on an ext4 file system. Then I want to build Ubuntu on top of this kernel. While I'm at it, I want to see if I can reclaim some of the wasted space on this device.

I got Jelly Bean working on Nextbook Premium 9!
