Need Help Unbricking Mk809III (win 7 won't let me change drivers?)

Has anybody had any luck installing new drivers on the MK809III using windows 7? I can get it to pick it up as a usb mass storage device and it even shows up as portable devices in the device manager but no batch tool i tried will recognize it and windows 7 won't let me install any new drivers manually! Holding the reset button also does nothing for me, any help would be greatly appreciated....

    Thanks

    Hello,

To reflash your Stick or Unbrick it you need first Install the Rockchip Driver.
Download it here, extract it and run it.
After this your Computer should find you Stick in Bootloader Mode when you Switch
    there.

I should also add that i have no power to my stick. I can get the power light to come on sometimes by touch two points on the circuit board while plugged into the usb port of my pc, but that's it!

Try also using a different USB cable. The stock one is for power only.

Does it say "USB\DEVICE_DESCRIPTOR_FAILURE" as Hardware-ID and "USB\VID_0000&PID_0002"? So does mine after flashing a (wrong?) loader. I also cannot select a driver manually.

Oh man... I've been there with all the driver troubles. NOT FUN!!!

In the Rockchip Assistant tool, you should see a file called setting.ini. Open that to edit it, and change SUPPORTUSB11=0 to SUPPORTUSB11=1

Try running the driver tool again and see if it detects it. I doubt it, since you said your problem is that it's reading as mass storage device. But I figured it's worth a shot. You could also try reading my thread with some of my issues. I have other threads with driver issues, but I can't find them right now: http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-...-start-code-10
