Nice looking rom
Was looking at picking up an M8 from Ali, would this work on it (most likely?)
Is this a paid rom or release soon to general public?
Gamepads would work yes?

This is a paid version and nobody knows when it will be released to public or if it will. If your budget is not tight get a minix and you will save yourself a lot of headache. Frequent update and they are over the air. No WiFi issue and a lot more smooth without even rooting it. I just wished i made the switch sooner.

Anyone have problem with upgrade? (v1.7a Updated Port)
1. Toothpic.. Method won't work
2. Upgrade... Method won't work either

However, the box work with first 1.7 released...
Any idea....?

Just found out..And new firmware 1.7a is updated..Here make a note just in-case you are run into this issue
In my case, I have to do:
1.Uninstall kodi
2.Re-Flashed v1.7 (Previous release)
3. No kodi install yet
4. Update/Backup (This folder in Main Apps)
5. Flash new firmware 1.7a..........
HOLA........Work like a champs

There are some issues was happened from previous 1.7 but still remaining on this new upgrade 1.7a
1. Random ERROR button appearing, everywhere in kodi
2. Screen still not center....
3. XBMC on front page still doesn't exit...(Nothing if click on it)
4. Crash on some of IPTV (.m3u) files (Previous 1.7 ran great on those .m3u files)
5. press power button to turn of the box then press power button again..Box is on but no output to TV..
6. faster Rolling wheel on mouse kodi will crash to Main page.....

you need to start fresh you probably have clear you cache from old 1.7. no need to load old 1.7 just use new 1.7a via toothpick or android UI upgrade/backup. maybe load older rom(1.5v3) and then upgrade to 1.7a

power button must be quick short press not a long press, also as stated in email you need to download kodi helix or isengard as its not part of the rom.

I have not received my 1.7 or 1.7a download yet and I have a ticket that has been opened since the 29 what should o do?

I'm loving 1.7a great rom!! The only thing for me is I can't connect to play store when I put my info in it says cannot connect at this time.

Same thing on my install Ericlupori, I can not sign into the play store. Google play services is not working for me.

this should fix your login issues


@TD - yes install even stock rom and then flash with 1.7a forget about older 1.7

Cannot replicate the issue work A1 for me on M8 roundish remote make sure you flash correct remote conf
