Full AOSP on RK29sdk

I purchased this tablet from big lots in early October. Searching for information about the tablet led me here.
Brand: Proscan PLT8031
8 inch tablet
running ICS 4.0.3
Information from the about tablet page
Model number: Full AOSP on Rk29sdk

I rooted it and it is full root, I have also used ES file explorer to good effect.
The WiFi doesn't seem to work with a memory card installed
I have an instruction book in PDF form and I posted the build.prop file in another post.

I just wondered if there might be a firmware to upgrade with. I would also like to put Google Play on it. I'm also curious about maybe downgrading to Gingerbread maybe it would run faster?....

Can you upload my the Installed Rom, maybe we can get Jelly Bean Running on it,
because we have many Rk2918 Tablet running with NEOCM10 an very fast

seems I'm having problems dumping the ROM...(this is a first for me)
anyone have any instructions to do this?
I can get into ADB without a problem.....
it has been a long day...I might just be missing it.....

after a push in the right direction ( thanks neomode ) I now have the backup.img from my device....

This is doing with the Manual i gave you and this poke

Neomode, on that ROM dump of backup, kernel is in boot.img and must be extracted and converted to kernel.img.

Yes please i have try to Unpack it with Wendals Tools what always work but not here :-(

Yes backup.img is not the same as update.img. You can only unpack backup.img using the linux RKtools rkunpack
Then you need perl scripts to unpack boot.img and get the kernel.gz.
Then using exit editor strip all the 00 bytes from start of kernel.gz to D3 F0 that is start of real kernel.
Then use rkcrc on kernel.gz to make kernel.img

I am leaving to visit my Dad but If you have not made progress I will do it in a few hours.
