..MX1 dead..Please geekbuying help me!

Unfortunately it seems ANY device that uses this micro USB connector as board mount can have a problem with it breaking off if your not careful!

I myself have broken off the one on my ug802 and had to repair it myself. Since then I have been VERY careful with my MX1 when using the connector.

Personally I think manufacturers should use the mini-USB connector as it mounts to the board MUCH better. Lile what the MK808 uses.


This is how you fix it for the ug802. The process should be similar for MX1.

Thank you Bob for your precious help...i'm looking to find a solution with geekbuyng..even if...unfortunately it's a bit difficult to me to apply your solution: i'm not able to weld over an electronic board...however i really thank you for your suggestion!

Yes light is on,as i said it starts to boot and stucks with imito boot-logo.
This happend while the device was in use,so its not releated to firmware updaste issues,it seems like a bootloop which started out of nothing.
I was on finleys 1.4a rom,was running great for more than 2 weeks.At the moment i cant update or reflash firmware since its stucked in bootloop!
I dont want to open an do the pin-shortcut thing because this will void my warranty!

solved

for some reason my imito works again.
i opend the case just to check if there is any fault cable connection or burned part.
i rearranged antenne position,closed it and bang,it was booting into android and everything works again...keeps finger crossed!!
@geekbuying: its fixed for now,i hope it will stay and i hope i didnt loose my warranty while open the stick!

I have asked you to check if you have used other charger to check? because this MX1 only can accpet 5v/2a charger, if you use any 9V or higher charger,It will cause the burn the board. have you checked?

...yes i've answered to you yesterday morning by private message!...by the way absolutely no, i've always used the charger you sent me with the minipc...i've tried another 5 v charger when the minipc died just to try to see if the mx1 could start again but no chance!...

Can the PC see it and have you tried to flash the ROM?

...i'm not able to turn on the minipc because the alimentation micro usb plug has detached from the board and i'm not able to weld it...trying to plug the power pack to the other micro usb the mx1 goes to a loop of switching off and on...a this time i think it's lost...

The rear micro USB is for power only. The side mirco USB will also power the unit up and will allow you to flash ROM. Does it power up (blue LED) with side micro USB? So all is not lost if side USB still works.

Yes, you have a bad ROM flash now and need to reflash ROM. Please be careful with side port as it can break off too!

no solutions: not able to flash new rom because the continuous reboot of the minipc if powered by the 2nd microusb plug...
and geekbuying doesn't purpose smart solutions!
now christmas has gone but geekbuying doesn't talk!...NEVER MORE CHINESE STUFF...THAT'S ONLY EXPENSIVE GARBAGE!!!...
