    Mark, go to the first post in this thread and try my test ROM 1.2 This way you will know if my next one will work for 0511. The only difference between my test ROM 1.2 and my new one will be Market pre-installed.

    As for 0511, I do not see a update.img from Nextbook for this serial number. Do you know oif the 0911 ROMs will work on 0511 tablets? If so I can make you one for 0511.

      Hey guys just an FYI...

      A boot animation slows the actual boot process of the tablet. Do you guys want me to remove it in this ROM?

      Also I just found out I can flash my Arnova 10 G2 Tablet with this ROM and it boots. Of course the screen is displaced (my Arnova is a 10") and the touch screen doesnt work but at least I can test if it boots loops or doesnt boot. Anyway I saw the cheesy boot animation and thought you guys might like that removed?

      Jtrosky, I think since I can boot this now, no need for you to test.
      However you may still want to flash my ROM as with the files copied by hand your NAND is a little fragmented. When they are built in, it gets optimized on boot. So up to you.

        I actually removed the boot animation from mine already, so yes, I vote to remove it. Actually, I vote to rename it - let people decide if they want to activate it or not (by renaming it back).

          Good idea!

          I will do that.

          One last question. My custom boot screen. Damo makes them for me. He made this one landscape but I notice this tab likes to boot portrait for the "nextbook" logo and animation. Should I make the boot screen portrait?

            well, now i know that none of the roms will work with my device..bad thing is, there's no stock rom for 0511..i will get in contact with nextbook and see if i can get it...wifi, buttons, and sound..they all load just fine...just that...

              It really doesn't matter to me either way - the device boots in portrait mode, but i alsmost always use it in landscape mode, so there are arguments for either way, I guess... I think it looks damn good the way it is - I'd leave it be....

                Bootanimation.zip

                After removing it and testing it appears there is another bootanimation lurking in this ROM somewhere. The standard Android animation. Any ideas where the heck that is? In the mean time I am going to rename the binary bootanimation in /bin and see if it turns all that off. I hate things that slow boots!

                One thing all of you probably notice is the more apps you install the longer the boot time! So anything that improves boot time is a plus from my point of view.

                  Mark, have you tried the stock 0911 roms from Nextbook? Dont do the SDCard copy as it will reject it. Use the RKBatch tool and force load it. If your stuff works with that ROM, I can make you a new rooted one.

                    Yeah, I just renamed it - never even tried to figure out what causes the "ANDROID" animation, but it looks clean and it's not "overly-active", so I can live with that one...

                      OK just did a test and made a new ROM renaming the binary bootanimation to bootanimation1.

                      For me it boots much FASTER! So that is outta here

                        yeah, it loads fine except wifi, sound, and buttons dont work...the same with with both stock roms there and yours and docs...hmm...and my stock 0511 is lost, so no going back to that...i have to find a 0511 stock rom and tweat that one

                          Bummer Mark. had you ADB dumped your Tab before flashing we would have had a stock ROM. Maybe you can get someone with a 0511 to ADB dump the tablet and I can make you a ROM.
