Emerson EM543 - Factory ROM now available

they included 2 different images they have different touchscreen drivers. So even in the em543 alone there must be a few revisions or they made a few out of the older design...

That could be the case but I think it's far more likely they don't have their act together and can't tell which ROM is for which tablet. Are there any instructions to guide users to the correct image?

Also... does either file name include a reference to "kf006" like the first one did? That's very clearly stamped on the board for the Uniden in the picture posted by hi5five (http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...ll=1#post43372)

There's basically a section (page 7 #25) at the end of the PDF that says to try the other image if the touch screen doesn't work.

I think S.T. is confused. Based on reports I've gotten, it's the Polaroid 4311 that has two versions, not the Emerson 543.

I pulled S.T.'s latest update apart and found that v2 is for most Polaroids (gt811_ts.ko) while v3 is for all(?) Emersons and some late-model Polaroids (sichuang.ko). I didn't have time to examine v3 in depth but I plan to so I can see how much it varies from the factory ROM I synthesized from a brand-new 543.

v3 has a build number 20120817 which as far as I recal was the one I had when I bought the tablet, before screwing it. So I guess the diff between v3 and yours homemade factory should be the same.

Is there a way to get CWM with this stock rom? I applied the 543-dopa-framework-20130108 image thru livesuite and it gave me CWM but no rom to boot into, so i tried the CM rom and i didnt like it, i just want the stock rom with CWM. Is there a way i can extract the recovery from the dopa image and install just that? i saw a comment in your other thread about how to do this using the cat command but i never could find the file that was mentioned there, it was like recovery-9partitions.img or something similar. Thanks...

thanks for the reply...is there a way i can open/view/modify/create my own livesuite images? im pretty familiar with android, but never messed with livesuite so dont know much about it...is there a way i can view/modify the .img files in either windows or ubuntu? i really just need to pull the cwm recovery out of it, or wherever i can get it from...soon as i do that i can work with update.zips but right now i apparently have no recovery or its broken, anyways i cant boot into recovery at all now even though device works fine in normal boot...so any help figuring out how to get just the cwm recovery out of one of these livesuite images id appreciate it...

I'd have to look at his image and see if I can pull the CWM he's using out. He was pretty pissy with me last time I tried to mess with it, so I'm gonna make sure it's ok from the 'higher ups' before I do so...

possibly, ut not necessarily. dolorespark repartitioned the partitions for this ROM (I remember because we had this discussion, and I ended up doing the same for my pmid4311 elektricity rom (for the sister device), so kkromkit might or might not work...

So after trying to download this ROM unsuccessfully (for whatever reason!) I'd have to give you the cwm I use for the pmid4311.....that's the only option I have at the moment, since I'm juggling lots of things at the same time....

thatd be awesome, I just need a version of cwm that works on the em543 and is in recovery.img form instead of a livesuit image. I don't need it to be integrated into a rom or anything I just need to be able flash it over the factory rom. thanks!
