I tried to flash this in terminal using [flash_image recovery 4311_recovery.img] after cd-ing to the location of the image, and here is what i got:

    app_46@android:/ $ export PATH=/data/local/bin:$PATH
    app_46@android:/ $ su
    app_46@android:/ # cd sdcard/download
    app_46@android:/sdcard/download # ls

apparently the recovery partition is either missing or corrupted or something...any ideas? i just tried in terminal i dont have a way to access it thru adb right atm...i was hoping i could just do it thru terminal. also is there a way to remove the /oem partition or at least the twitter app and all that crap i dont want? it seems to be locked in read-only mode and nothing works so can i get rid of the whole partition somehow or am i stuck with it?

Have a look at this URL: http://linux-sunxi.org/Android/partitions

I don't remember the list of commands to type in terminal at the moment, but obviously you are looking for (and should have) NANDG listed somewhere.
