How do you increase the app storage size??

    How do you increase the app storage size??

    So I have a iMito MX1. It has a small 1gb app install area. What I have done is added a 750Gb harddrive and setup my iMito to use that as the "NAND" storage. So far that is working great, but now I have all the internal memory going to waste.

    So how do you go about increasing the app storage memory to say 6-7gig to take up all the internal memory on the device? I found a few apps but they were for specific phones and would not cut it. Hoping Finless will chime in since I know he increased one device grom 1gb to 1.5gb and another to 2gb.

    The only way is to modify the parameter file and increase /data space. Then you have to do a full reflash of the ROM as NAND has to be repartitioned with the new parameter file.

    I can whip you up a parameter file that will use all but .32gb of internal (you really need some area here for compatibility). /data will then be 6gb

      That would work and once I look at it I'm sure I'll know what's going on and can adjust it as needed.

      I do have one other thing. I am having trouble opening the iMito roms from the factory. I have an Epic 4G touch and don't seem to have the same issue. Can you throw me some info on that. Win7 PC BTW.

        Not sure what your asking about opening up factory ROMs?
        YOu mean unpacking them?

        If you want to learn to do this yourself (I like people to do that), then see my post here on making rockchip ROMs. This is a long post but you can learn a lot including how to edit the parameter file yourself!

            Hang tight.... My new ROM I will give you a choice when you flash to pick 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, and 6GB.

              1.5 ROM with parameter files is up!

              OK folks... my new 1.5 ROM is done.

              For you guys wanting almost all the NAND to go to APPS, use the 6gb parameter file.

                How did you do it?
                I thought it will be easy with directory bind app or simply mounting it, but no, I'm stuck
