The installation of Imito MX1/MX2 Finless 1.5 ROM didn't succeed for me.
I followed the instruction. I chose for the 720p kernel with 720p boot animation.
The flash went ok. But when rebooting the key showed an Android robot fo r5 seconds with some text and then it started looping. I mean, I had a picture for 1 second then disappearing, then coming again and so forth. I couldn't see the picture because my monitor is displaying a message on top of the image :-( I disconnected the key from the power outlet. After that, the only thing I could get was a blank screen.

I reinstalled the latest firmware from Rikomagic and everything is working. I 'll try the Finless ROM again :-)

digiPixel did you had any issue? Do you have a recommendation?

    Cheers

Had no issues with flashing the Finless 1.5 ROM apart from getting the device in flash mode. Also in Windows if you leave the device idle too long while it is connected then the OS will automatically disconnect it, highly disconcerting when trying to flash the device. Would be beneficial to use a good quality mini USB to USB cable when flashing the device, otherwise the device might get bricked.

Beware of fake (clone) Ricomagic devices since they may not allow ROMs to be flashed. dechargeur do you have one of the fake devices? Just curious as to what version of the stock ROM you are using, can you please post the details.

Stock ROM kernel version should be similar to the following:
        3.0.8+
        ant@test-desktop #170
SMP PREEMPT Thu Dec 20 18:42:03 CST 2012

Stock ROM build # should be similar to the following:

        MK802IIIS_ANDROID4.1.1-SDK-v1.00.1015
        MK802IIIS-end 4.1.1 JR003H eng.ant.20121220.184300 test-keys

I finally managed to install Finless 1.5 BUT I have the bluetooth version of the key. Wifi and bluetooth are not working :-(

EDIT: Strangely enough, I had to put the key on the power outlet. Up to now wifi was good through the USB port of my Macbook. But with this rom I need a 2A input. This is not an issue. I am more than happy that it IS working. Now I can further test :-)))))))

Strange that WiFi and Bluetooth aren't working. Tested Bluetooth on mine by sending a picture from my Android smartphone to the Mini PC and that worked. Not able to try the inverse of that since the smartphone requires a microSD card before it can receive files via Bluetooth.

WiFi is working although the signal is low so you might want to have the Mini PC located close to the WiFi router. WPA even works if you don't want to manually enter in the password when establishing a WiFi connection.

Whatever you do make sure the power adapter is exactly 5V, 2A otherwise the Mini PC might become unstable (eg freeze). If the power adapter is over 5V it will fry the Mini PC.

Finless 1.5 is not actually for the MK802IIIs so not surprising that the bluetooth doesn't work.

I realize that my last post was not clear enough.

Imito MX1/MX2 Finless 1.5 Rom IS working on my MK802III S (bluetooth). It is a really nice ROM. I needed a 2A power adapter.

Currently there is no global keyboard/mouse shortcut for zooming in/out. Tried Ctrl + Mouse scroll wheel up/down but that shortcut doesn't work for adjusting the zoom level. I wonder if Finless can look into this and report his findings on if it's possible to implement the shortcut mentioned above.

Without having an easy way to adjust the zoom level some apps like Google Earth and Maps aren't usable.
