It sounds as if you guys are effectively just turning the device off, Power Off and Reboot. Just like using the ctrl-alt-del method.

Not to be confused with a real screen off standby or Time-out.

Maybe it just equates to the same thing.

Any updates as to a solution to protect Plasmas? Is the app mentioned previously an option?

For you guys that just want to turn off the screen... Be sure to check out Petrus' new APP. It's called task launcher but you can set a timer or time of day to turn on or off HDMI

Petrus could use some feedback on this so give it a try!

Re: MX1 sleep mode / turn screen off

The link breaks out of Tapatalk so you're logged out Bob. Why isn't it in the TV stick forum area?

Because the APP can be used on tablets too with HDMI output! So it is just not for TV devices.

              Hi Bob,

Do you think there is a reason why they've disabled sleep in the ROM? Just curious as both my devices crash with sleep workarounds.

                rc11 air mouse power button

If you hold it down for about 3 seconds... And if WiFi is lit, no matter how long you hold it down the imito will reboot as soon as you let go! lol

However... if you turn off WiFi on the remote first, THEN press and hold power, the imito stays off! RESULT!

                Powers on no problem too!

                Thanks!

That green android button just disables air mouse function.Keyboard part still works.
The power button puts it into sleep mode or similar behaviour but air mouse input wakes it imediately. Try placing remote on a stable flat surface then press the power button and leave alone.

                  convenient

The only reason an Android phone goes to sleep is to save battery power. As these devices don't have batteries there really is no point. Mine's been on 24/7 now for several weeks with no ill effects. I just switch the TV to normal mode or stby if I'm not using my MX1.

                  Just my 2c worth,

                  Cheers

I set my plasma economy mode to screen off if i'm listening to music , yet another remote control.
It certainly would be convenient to dim or turn off video signal to plasma telly after say 1 min of not recieving input from keyboard/mouse.
