Hmm...I'm intrigued. I'm pretty gun-shy about building custom ROM'S for tablets I don't own, but I'm fairly comfortable at least making a modified stock. Sadly I couldn't buy this if I wanted to (No U.S. )

Does it come with Root and/or Google Play by default? By the way, you want this link, not the one you mentioned in your first (this is the live suite image)

If you want me to make a modified stock, your homework is:
        • To get the correct drivers/Live Suite application installed
        • Flash the stock ROM successfully.

When you've done those two things I'll start working on something for you.

        Fair enough?

That's an interesting looking ROM, the image from BQ Edison is already split into seperate image files. Looks like it would be a good ROM to learn RK3066 cooking on.
                  • What's good, bad about the ROM?
                  • What changes are you hoping for?

What I don't like is all the stuff it comes with Stock ROM's...

Besides all the tweaks you guys do, I'm hoping to have the best. :P

                      Re: Custom ROM BQ Edison

OK I should be able to do something. The more info you can give about problems, excess apps etc the quicker it will be to get a good ROM sorted.

As a first step let's fry my clockwork recovery. Download from the link below

                          http://www.freak-tab.de/CWMRecovery250113.img.zip

Now rename the recovery from the original BQ ROM kit and replace with mine from the download.flash just recovery and let me know if
                          1. The tablet still boots
                          2. You can boot into CWM
                          3. You can backup from cwm

As ever when it comes to flashing there is the chance of loosing your data, some like to remove any sdcards to prevent accidental deletion.

wow, I could see why it was thought this was an Allwinner processor. The web site says "
                            Processor
                            CPU:
                            1.6 GHz Dual Core Cortex
                            GPU:
                            Quad Core Mali 400
                            RAM memory:
                            1 GB DDR3"

                            Weird...

That's weird cause I haven't received any notifications...

Tonight I'll do this test and let you know how it was.

                              Thanks
