Does the MK808B suffer random Reboots/Freezes like the Imito MX1 ?

Im planning on getting an MK808B because of the bluetooth support (for ps3 controller for example)

I would like to know from owners of the MK808B if your devices suffer from random reboots/freezes like the imito mx1 and mx2 have, since the components of those 2 android devices is very similar.

and im talking about the real mk808B:

    thanks

      hi

      1) what is your room temperature in degrees C ?
      2) how much time was the device on till it rebooted
      3) was your device original or clone?
      4) what app was being used when it rebooted?

Me too. Lots of random reboots and stuck at boot. Tried lots of rom, no change. I think I'll try another kernel with finless1.6. I hope 2dark4you comes with a kernel soon.

but that is for mk808 , not mk808B

so your device is mk808 and also freezes\reboots?

Pls if u have have freezes and reboots pls take care of your power suply, It says 2A but has poor quality and fails a lot, Try to buy a good power suply, the psvita power suply is cheap, and good enought, I use it, and works very well. Use software to power down the stick. Since I use that I have no problems with the stick

Thanks for advice, maybe I'll try another power supply.

But what exactly does 'poor quality' means? Is it variations in volt or ampere?

Amperage, the one who comes with my mk808b announce 2A but it cant suply more than 1,2A. If you have only the stick plugged it must work but if you plug a hub, usb to Ethernet, mouse and keyboard, etc... It cant power them.

                    1) don't know , haven't check
                    2) about 1hr
                    3) original from geekbuying with finless 1.6
                    4) in setting , 1 sec after turning bluetooth ON (1st time)
don't remember, I was eating lunch (had left it ON) when I came back it was at boot logo.

... by the way same power supply I used with my non bluetooth mk808 for over a month without any trouble.

I just tried finless 1.5 leaving bluetooth OFF and after more than an hour everythink works well.
I'm gonna try 1.6 again leaving bluetooth OFF and see what's happening. Maybe it's just a coincidence.

                    EDIT:

1.6 up an running for about an hour now.. no problem for now..bluetooth OFF. will report in few days to let you know how it goes.

what could happen if you connect it to a 5v 4Amps power brick?

I've seen a guy who use a computer power supply so I don't think there's a max amp limit as long as you stay at 5v.

4A is the maximum amount that the power suply can give, better 4A than 1,2A. Allways 5V, never more. If the stick consumes only 2A, it will take only 2A.

                            energy meter

Now I've tested with a 'energy meter'. Its a digital device put between the AC wall and the usb power supply.

I've tested with my mk808b, wifi on, bt off, rc11 keyboard on, antutu bench running, no other usb devices. fresh finless 1.6.

The energy meter says: 0.03A, 6W, 227V (AC wall). This seems like 'small' values, seems like any usb power supply could power the mk808b.

                            Something I don't understand here?

Well, anyway, since my device is unstable, i try now another charger and cable...

I cant run antutu with the stock power suply, usb hd, keyboard and mouse plugged in a usb hub. Mine gots reboots and freezes, sometimes nand corrupted and reflash needed, I tested the output power suply amperage and the maximum. Amount in the tester was 1,2A. I changed the stock power suply for a psvita power suply. I saw 1,8A testing same things plugged. It never freezes or reboot again, thats why I suggest to changue it if you have stability issues.
