For APPs or games that use touch only for input then at this time the only way to play those is using a tablet or phone and the RK Remote APP which I supplied in my ROM kit. Or buy Droidmote and use that. I do not have droidmote but people say it performs better than the RK Remote.

Yeah tried creating a touch profile for Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour and touch support has been disabled. Its no problem will probably just buy a MOGA and use that for the game. Is there anyway of supporting this feature in the future or is that up to Minix? This little box is amazing. I am using your firmware (720p) and it runs great. Great work on the firmware Finless.

I get today my new X5 (AleX Wong is good seller ), flashed Finless ROM and is nice, but in 1080p kernel I have very small icons and very small text I can't read in my TV

In my readme I explain how to change this for 1080 kernel.

Edit build.prop. Set LCD Density to 240. Now icons will be big again like 720 kernel.

I would strongly suggest that unless you can offer to create some awesome image or animation to help Bob then keep you opinion to your self.

You know.... I was going to make a long drawn out post about this subject but I have had a cold for the last 3 days and I am having a couple shots of whisky as cold meds right now

I am just going to leave my comments closed and post later.. But for now agree with what Lifeisfun said.

Use my ROM or not. If a simple boot animation which you can easily change yourself bothers you, then PLEASE... flash back to the stock ROM.

I will hold my tongue until I can respond better without having a cold or some whisky

If I get on my soapbox now... I will be a pissed off sounding post...... Which I do not want to do.

I have found how to enable lockscreen properly!

Funny they have it in the menus but it does not work.

So anyone want it back and are willing to test a new android.policy.jar from me?

I need someone that knows how to use ES FIle mananger as root to try it.

I installed the 1080 kernel and boot image and changed ro.sf.lcd_density from 160 to 240, in build.prop. It looks great on my 47" Samsung TV.

Benchmark in AnTuTu gives me 9435.
I'm using it as a media device and so far only tested Netflix and our Swedish TV Player app and it all works really well. I have a lot more fun testing to do

It wasn't possible for me to get into flash mode by using the reset + holding power button for a few seconds, or if I misunderstood how to do it...I'm not sure. Anyway, I solved it by first rooting the stock ROM and in terminal entering bootloader with:
su
reboot bootloader

i have not been able to flash the bob rom,cant get it to connect to pc,
i did it before,it had 4.1 on it,which was very buggy and constantly froze,i was able to load the ICS rom to it,but now it will not connect,
your explailation may work for the vets,but for a newb like me,
step by step is needed,

Please download Finless zip-file in the first post, in this thread. In the Finless zip-file you will find a readme text with a detailed instruction.
Read and follow the instruction carefully.
The only issue that I had was to get into flash mode, but it might have been just a mistake by me.
If you can´t get into flash mode, then there is a workaround where you first root it. Then install a terminal emulator from Google App store and just enter:
su
reboot bootloader

But again, follow the Finless readme.txt instruction is very important. Every step is described in it.

Have finnless 1.0 on my minix5 first time I powered it off /on its stuck on the boot screen?

This means it did not shut off properly and corrupted the /data area.
How did you power it off? You did not just unplug it live right?
