Ahh Finless I kid you back. But so you know, when I see this post... I see this.

Doc, your not getting it. We cannot see your screens! XDA blocks that! Because you are a user here and a user on XDA, showing me a picture of your browser is not proving anything!

Trust me, we here cannot see your screens! Only users that are also XDA members and have seen your screens (now they are in the browser cache) or still have a cookie from being logged into XDA can see your screen here!

I am a moderator here and I cannot see your screens. However if I go to XDA and login, go to your post on XDA with the screens, NOW and ONLY NOW do they show up here.

Your picture you just showed of your browser, actually shows the reason why WE cannot see them! My bet is you were on XDA today and thus still have a logged in cookie....

Trust me, this is not a problem here. ANY WEB SITE you do this on that is not XDA, YOU will see them but NO ONE else will! It's because XDA blocks any URL that is not XDA from displaying pictures...

Please trust me on this, I do happen know how this works having delt with this on other forums.

OK do this Doc.....

1) Go to XDA and logout
2) Come here and logout
3) Close ALL open browsers
4) Launch the browser again and go into your browser setting and clear the cache
5) Now come back here and look at your post. I bet your pictures do not show up.

Again my friend. XDA will not share resources outside of the XDA domain URL.... PERIOD!
You are seeing them because they are either cached, or XDA is allowing it because you have a cookie that has you still logged in there!

Again XDA is blocking this. We do not block this. Thus you can put images here in your Album and they will work on XDA as well! UNLESS..... XDA also blocks cross resource links, like images. I have not tried that over there yet. But if it doesnt work, it's NOT because of us!

We created this site to give some freedom to people especially ROM makers. We want freedom of information and not try to play the BS thats goes on now with other Android Tablet forums.

Now understand, we want people to come here an participate NOT just use us because the doors are open. It's a 2 way street. If your going to do 90% of your stuff on another forum yet try to use us for free downloads and what not, not fair. I hope that makes sense? We are giving a open policy to try and build user base and participation! So we are trying to offer something no one else is doing.
The door to you will always be open unless it is sadly abused (which I am not seeing you doing). Again I hope that makes understandable sense?

I do understand your point. :P I you could't see the pictures earlier when I had read your reply on my phone and saw that the screen shots weren't showing up, I still had to poke a jab at you, believe me I chuckled when I say the brick picture, Lol. Irony though is shortly after seeing that, I was fiddling with the egl.cfg file and manage to get my tab to boot to a blank screen. Lol.

Is Root 2.0 Faster than Cramfsstyle 3.0?

Well look in the title. I need to know that, i did see something about root 2.0 having more ram does that mean its faster? need to know cause installing from update.img is way easier lol

How do i update the binary?

There are 2 parts
SU which goes in /system/bin
and superuser.apk which goes in /system/app

That latest one can be had by going ot the market and download Rom Tool Box.
Then in the perfomance menu download superuser. Now don't use Rom tool box to install it as that wont work as it expects nandroid to work which it does not. However once it is downloaded by Rom tool box if you go onto your SDCard you will see a folder for rom tool box. Look in there and in downloads folder you will find a super user .rar file. Take that back over to your PC and un-rar it. You will now have the latest SU and superuser.apk files.

Bring those back to you tablet and using a file explorer with root, replace the files in the directories I list above.

Thanks man ill give it a shot! Oh and you should make a tutorial video on how to install a rom on the nextbook 7 using rk29 update. Oh and question. No offense to anyone but compared to you and mr hoppy which rom sems to work the smoothest? I heard your has 1 gb of ram. Is installing from the rk29 goong to make any difference from craffss style using update.img?

I cant do a tutorial on the nextbook as I do not have that tablet!!! I have an Arnova 10 G2.

As for which is better. All I can say is try them and you decide! It's nice having choices to pick from.

Installation Error with Cramfs

When I copy the update.img file to my SD card, I immediately get an error listing the path to the file saying "found invalid image file do you want to delete?" I say no, but from there I don't know what to do with the image file.
