    Keyboard layout for RC11, new functions on F-keys:
    Unzip and copy (Vendor_0c45_Product_7403.kl) to /system/usr/keylayout
    Then chmod 644 (file permissions)

      Remapping a keyboard

      Information to add to the FAQ.

      It works on Finless 1.7a 720p and 1080p.

      I was able to correctly map the home button and the multimedia keys on a Measy RC11 airmouse/keyboard.

      While doing it I found out that the F11 key is used to manually hide and unhide the status bar and it works really well.

        USB devices

        Something to add to the FAQ when I do it.

        USB devices and ports on TV sticks.
        Not all USB ports are "host" ports. This varies by stick model and ROM.

        The large full sized USB port is always a Host port. Use this port when plugging in devices especially sound/audio sticks or adapters.

        On some devices the USB OTG port is also a host port but NOT always!!!! If you find your device is not working correctly, do not use the OTG port! Use the full sized USB port. The OTG port is for connecting to a PC and sharing the SDcards as removable drives on a PC. It is also used for flashing ROMS. Thus it is a "slave" port not a Host port.

        Also on some sticks (MX1, MK808, etc) the rear small micro USB port is power only! It contains no data lines.

          Skype not working on some cameras! - FIX

          Hey folks here was an interesting find!

          Good job Freaktab user: Meh4d2

          It appears with some cameras if when you first boot up and setup wifi, if "Automatic Backup" is turned on your first Skype call will work but later calls will fail. Only a Factory Reset seemed to fix it.
          Also even when you first setup your device and turn OFF Automatic Backup, then when you go to sign into Google, the last step asks you if you want to keep your device backed up to Google. If you say yes to this, automatic backup is turned on again. So you need to make sure on the last step of sign up with Google you uncheck this option.

                  Hi Tatubias, thanks for posting all this info. But the idea of the FAQ if for "general" things that relate to ALL TV stick devices or at least many of them. e.g. like power supply issues, or ROM flashing issues related TO PCs, you know stuff that is more generic.

                  Some of what you posted really belongs in a forum like the CX-01 stuff. It is GREAT information but should probably go in a CX-01 information post rather than a general FAQ for TV sticks.

                  Makes sense what we are looking for here?

                    If you would make a new post for UHost1 and the CX-01 in the "other TV players" area, I can move these posts for you. That way you can edit them as needed since your the poster.

                      Finless the cx-01 its not being sell any longer or there are few out there. also it has very big issues with the wifi that we were not able to fix it. may be adding new external antena or something like that.


                      also there are some clones that makes wifi not be compatible with this rom.


                      Please move them were it should be thanx.

                        Again for FAQ, we want to stay generic or "common" information for devices. Specific device info should go in it's own thread.

                                Approximately how many times should I have to read this stuff before it sinks in? I went to wiki and read what a rom was and what it meant to flash but most of this stuff is still way over my head. The first time I heard of a "finless rom" I wondered why they removed the fins. Some of its starting to make sense now but I would still like to study a few more tutorials before I try my first flash.
