    Startup loop...how to break it

    I have a friends Cube U30GT h
it is stuck at the tablet maker logo after powerup...

here is the screenshot of the firmware version...

I have been able to get it into a firmware flash mode..on the tablet itself
ie mode that enables cache wipe ...firmware from sd card
and you use the vol + and - to select item
and power button to ...'enter' selection

it is still using the original charger...I was thinking of getting a new charger
one of better quality..and charging the tablet and see if that helps?

also maybe upgrading the firmware maybe best way to get it out
    of being stuck at boot-up?

    Any suggestions?? TIA

PS No I didnt cause this issue...my friend asked for help to try and fix it

You are in recovery if you have those options. In bootloader/flash mode the screen will be black.

To get to boot loader, with the tab connected to the PC but not the power supply:
    press power for 10 seconds
    Press and hold Vol +
    Press power for 4 seconds
    Release Vol +

The screen should be black but the PC should detect it. You may need to install drivers.

I include drivers in my ROM kits.

So youre saying the only way to get the Cube out of this stuck at bootup..loop
is to load a new firmware...??
I assume your kit uses the ROM flash tool?

        The kit includes the flashtool.

It may be worth exploring the option in recovery, you have nothing to lose.

So not having owned a tablet before...but reading from what goes on here...

I assume if I use the recovery mode I could reload the original Firmware
          by downloading it
and putting it on an SD card ..and loading it via recovery mode

and if I use recovery mode where do I get the original firmware from??
(as I cant get into the tablet and it wasnt backed up!!)

and then later...still install your modified / updated firmware
which would from what I read ...will
          >>Root the tablet
          >>get rid of the chinese apps
          >>and update the firmware
which one is the best at the moment? its difficult to tell
ie do you have a thread link??

          Does yours include a CWM?

or do you always have to use the flash tool?

I cant believe it...I am touching a big block of wood for good luck
but I think I may have been able to
get the seemingly lifeless Cube into flash mode!! yes!
install the necessary x86 drivers for Windows 7 to recognise the RK30 device
get the Flash tool to say..."Found RKAndroid Loader Rock USB"
then have the flash tool.... Erase the NAND ..worked fine(ie did count up)
                then Flash ROM ...

it looked liked it had failed ie an error message came up...and my heart sank!

but then I plugged in power
and unplugged the USB cable and it rebooted
and it came up with CWM version 6.0 xx....I then said reboot
and now when I can finally get it working with my router
I have taken a screen shot ...showing firmware version 1.11!
I want to send it to this forum..

First I need to confirm some details????
There doesnt seem to be any apps showing under Settings??
Have I not done the upgrade correctly?
How can I see if it has done the 2gb app space?
its showing English(UK) under language..and keyboard
(which is what you say in the firmware details???)..so that seems to be correct??

Re: Startup loop...how to break it

This sounds promising. Did you have a notification that the sdcard is corrupted, just press it and select repair format and you should be good.

Here's a screenshot of my storage settings to give you an idea.

Yes I was wondering about that message...as I didnt have an SD card in the tablet
I assume it doesnt refer to an external sd card then ??

I have just answered the sd card notification...and allowed it to repair format?

Sounds like you now have a working table. ;-)
