What you can try: Get the JB stock rom from the link in my previous post and compare it to your stock rom (compare system folder). Maybe you can find the WIFI driver files in your stock KK rom and transfer them to the JB rom.

Right, thank you very much for all the info - it helped a lot to at least try to make sense what I would need to do. I guess it's time to backup everything here and try-and-error some ROMs and - as you said - maybe I hit the jackpot and can "transplant" the Wifi support someway. If I get something working I'll post around the forum in the appropriate place.

    Thanks again phinc.

Nice, only to know that there's some hope to make JB work on this one is some good news already thank you.

So - sorry if taking much of your time here - there's a way for me to adapt Bob's ROM (I forgot if he shares the source, hm) or any other ROM that would happen to boot here? I've done some custom ROM stuff but never messed with Kernels, I'm wondering if you can give me only generic steps (or directions, or links) so I can go after this? I'm guessing some people already tried something similar to that (adapting an open-sourced ROM to their similar devices, but with different specific chips), and got somewhere with it?

Wifi yes, but BT no. I'm guessing you're going to suggest one of the Bob's ROMs? (I've read it would 90% of the time make wifi and BT unusable on "incompatible" models). Would it even flash on these models?

I believe it's one of those newer models/(clones?), from what I've read last days. I should take the heatsink off to be sure, but since it's a company property I'm trying to open/mess with it the least I can (although if really needed I'll do it), but from these photos:

And some discussions like these: http://vondroid.com/threads/mk808b-d...e-6#post-67975

I'm almost certain it's the "MK808B REALTEK HTC-T011-V4", it comes with 4.4.2 and that really made everything harder for my work. I only need to know if there's any chance, even a remote one, to put JB on this.

    Thanks for your attention

Extract and flash the img file using "Rockchip Batch Tool". I am sure you find a tutorial via google. You should be able to enter Flash mode via recovery button (the hole beside the LED hole).

Find a PC with Windwos 7 or older. Windows 8 and up has driver problems with rk3066 devices.
Hi phinc , first of all thanks for the info - and sorry about the question but I must ask it because I can't find much about that (not recent, at least) but do you happen to know if there's any news on a JB ROM for those models? Even in a beta/alpha/test stage?

(I really need to know if those models can run JB because of an app in development that needs flash swf compability in Android Webviews and no success so far at KitKat..)

Thank you very much in advance.

Extract and flash the img file using "Rockchip Batch Tool". I am sure you find a tutorial via google. You should be able to enter Flash mode via recovery button (the hole beside the LED hole).

Flash mode using the reset button:
If you do not ever see the flash tool say "Found RKAndroid MASS Storage USB"
Or reboot to flash mode does not work, then use this manual proceedure.
    1) Have the USB cable unplugged.
    2) Near the HDMI port are 2 holes in each corner. One is the blue LED hole.
The other in the corner is a reset button under the hole.
Use a paper clip or something to push the reset button in this hole.
I actually enlarged the hole so a paper clip would fit.
You will feel the button "click" when you are on it.
    3) Hold this button down and while holding it, plug the USB cable from the PC to the OTG port on the mk808.
    4) YOu should here windows BONG it found a new device. The LED will not light!
    5) You are now in ROM flash mode. Read below for installing drivers.
Find a PC with Windwos 7 or older. Windows 8 and up has driver problems with rk3066 devices.
