I am going to tell what I did.
Download the lib, open a root explorer and go /system/lib copy the old lib with .old suffix, copy the new new one there, repair permission to rw-r--r-- and reboot.
Mplayer in hw+ have problems, not so smooth like in hw only mode.
Xbmc not tested yet

Thanks Bob, nice to see you are following the libstagefright experimental hardware video decode thread over @ xbmc org. Silly me noticed after I'd posted that you'd included it in your new mx1 rom.

Am I right to assume that you'll include the libstagefright.so in all future RK3066 ROMs?

Sorry i don´t use XBMC by the moment so android port don´t works very well actually. Waiting for a stable enough release yet.
