install:


-unpack arhive (anywhere)
-start RKBatchTool.exe
-put mk808 into flash mode (pres hiden buton and conect mk808 to pc, use usb otg port)
-instal proper drivers when windows ask (drivers are in \Rockchip_Batch_Tool_v1.5\Rockchip_Batch_Tool_v1.5 \RockusbDriver)
-when you wil see number 1 in green box selec "..." button in right top corner of RKBatchTool
-navigate to MK808 Hybryd FW V2.1.2 .img
-pres restore button in RKBatchTool


after instal:
thats the things to do aftrer yoy install your rom o mk808.
-first bootup will be slower then the next one (android is setting ui)
-after boot wait about 3-5 minutes and reboot the device
-in Android Tuner
-in android tuner go to cpu an set governor from interactive to performance (optional)
-press onboot
-go to android settings>screan>scale> and slide it to the end
-next go to settings>developer options:
1. check usb debuging
2. check stay awake
3. change all animations to 0.5x
-in advance task killer
-in advance task killer go to settings:
1. check startup kill
2. select startup delay and set it to 20-30s

If you installed XBMC for better compatybilit download this file http://adf.ly/K3xHR
Using es file manager (show hiden files must be checked in es settings) put it in
/sdcard/android/data/org.xbmc.xbmc/files/.xbmc/userdata/
Also is recomended to install lates ver. "hwaccel" from http://mirrors.xbmc.org/test-builds/android/

Hi Lewy....your ROM's sound great but all my problems revolve around my MX1.
My MK808 is well behaved & still running finless 1.5. That's because my MX1 is a drama queen & won't run reliably with stock or the finless MX1 ROM's.
But the B!tch is stable with the 2dark4u/Finless UG802 1604 cpu ROM . Antutu over 10K & also doesn't get hot with this build....WTF....??? But no WiFi & no B.T. but also no shutdown, it will just reboot instead.
I'm using ethernet no problem but no viable shutdown is my only real problem.
Will your Rom's brick it ???

you need to change screen timeout or go to developper settings and check stay awake.

RE: there is no GUI for screen timeout APP ony build prop screen off time ???
flagged to stay awake now but still will just reboot instead of shutting down.

experiances

I have been playing with versions of XBMC on this ROM. What happend:

the version of 18-01 without the advancesettings.xml: MKV 720 and 1080 runs fine, Video_TS too
the newest version 19-02: MKV 720 and 1080 run ok. Video_ts not (only the vob files directly, no dvd menu)
If I add the advancesettings.xml file the MKV 1080 files kill XBMC. This habbpens with both APK's

Nevertheless. This is by far the best ROM I tried with XBMC

Not releasing your kernel source code is in direct violation of GPL license. Why do you think people like omegamoon and andrewdb all provide kernel sources for their work ? 2dark4u's unwillingness to provide the source is in violation of GPL.
