Re: cwm recovery zip for the new libstagefright.so

Did some one test this on the mk808 original? I'm using finles rom 1.7 n it.

I'm thinkingnif I want to pay or not the soldering of the ug802. Probably will buy other that has bluetooth.

I am not using xbcm, seems that after the lib fix, things goes better (I read it in some forums) but xbmc need a lot of work on it yet in android, and a lot of people is working on it.

Yes, its like a cwm script, the only thing is that with adb we cant flash images and only can modify or add files and install apks.

I dont know, depending of your Rom installed you have the old, or new.

Ah, I guess there are just 2 versions, i didn't know how many.

On my UG007-II i use Finless 1.7 for the MX1/2 and i received a MK808 yesterday and flashed Finless 1.7c to that one.
Both seem to work fine and can do about the same max resolution video using the stock kernel, except with the MK808 i sometimes get frame tearing (except on multiple places in the frame) like vertical sync isn't working.

I assume the 1.7c for the MK808 is using the new one since it's updated very recently. Not sure about the 1.7 for the MX1/2. If that uses the old one, for me that seems to work better.

EDIT: it's not so much tearing as it's just (parts of) recent frames popping up between the rest of them.

EDIT2: Nevermind. Flashed the 2dark4u kernel and that fixed the problem completely.

I think 1.7c don't have the patch applied, only 1.8 have it by default, but I am not sure, time to ask Bob.

I was thinking since you started this thread 3-3-13 and Bob's MK808 1.7c was updated 15-3-13 it would include the latest. Also since it says so in the description. But yeah, i guess to be sure we need to ask Bob.

Or maybe we can just compare the filesize of libstagefright.so?

Yes, but 1.7 is an evolution of 1.7 cause it has some wifi problems, and I dont know if Bob adds the new lib in the 1.7c or only solves wifi problems in this device.

Just one thing when flashing it says for "UG802 and it's clones only!" While in your opening post you say it's for all RK3066 devices.

Sorry about that, but before I release a vetsion that works in all rk3066 devices except ug802, that was affected by loopboot, so I made a recovery specific for them adding some files necessary for them, those files are in all the rest of devices by default, so it must work for all devices, once it was tested by ug802 users, I release it for all rk3066 deviced. Cause it must work for all, better have 1 for all, than have 1 for each device

Oke when i said it all worked perfectly i ment it replaced the files and still booted up fine.

However when i try to play a 1920x1080 file it starts to play (with artifacts) and than crashes XBMC.
1920x1024 (devidable by 16) does play oke. So i dont see any improvement of the new libstagefright.

BTW, what i said before wasn't so much a complaint, but more like a heads up. I dont know if it's a lot of trouble for you to edit that text, but maybe you can change the UG802 message to all RK3066 devices and re-upload the zip file.
