I'm a bit new to the MK808B so please excuse me but in the last day my MK808B has stopped working. Dolphin browser kept crashing, 1channel no longer functioned, app store stopped working and gradually all of the apps stopped working. I tried deleting some apps so I could re-install but the MK808B froze and when I switched off and on the app was still there. The device boots up and gives me the screen with my apps on but if I click on any app a new screen appears as if all is well but then I'm taken back to the initial boot screen. Due to lack of a power off button I've been just switching of the power at the mains which looks as though that was not a good idea. But to recover can I just install new firmware (eg. Finless)? What about the operating system - will that be OK and will I loose all my apps including those that were pre-installed. Sorry about the basic questions but help would be appreciated to get my MK808B working again.

To install new firmware (eg. Finless), you should erase NAND, which means you will lose all your apps including those that were pre-installed. You will have to reinstall them from Google Play.
Download the appropriate Finless ROM for your MK808B and follow the directions in his readme text file. You will end up with a rooted Android 4.1.1 device.MK808 w/Omegamoon kernel, CWM recovery, & Finless 1.7 ROM -

OS corruption may also be due to using the stock power supply. I've ordered and am currently waiting for a PS Vita charging cable that outputs a more stable 1.5A 5V USB power supply. Others on this forum have indicated it's a good choice for the MK808.
